Really nice place. Remote, however, so you need a car to get to nearest shop, restaurant etc. But, if you're looking to just take it easy and chill - it's excellent! Staff is very helpful and pleasant.

We stayed half board for 5 nights from 26 July and had the most wonderful family holiday. We were upgraded and our rooms were super luxurious with private plunge pool on the balcony. A boutique resort with very personable service from all staff. Special shout out to Kieron, Ajay and Renu who were so welcoming and friendly.

Me and my wife checked in on 18/07/2022 for 2 days at 5PM and now it's 9:30PM and we are looking for different resort to run away from this garbage. My name is Barry and I was staying in suite 318 1. The resort is empty 2. Balcony window is not closing. 3. Room is cold due to balcony window issue and no heater in the room. 4. Wooden floor is broken and makes sound when you woke on them. 5. Called reception, Duty manager and GM and they didn't provide any fix. 6. Reception told us to close the balcony since they are monitoring us through their CCTV, if your planning to flirt with your wife/ gf on the balcony then forget it, you are watched, no privacy. 7. Asked them to upgrade the room, duty manager said I will check with the GM and the GM said no. 8. Told them I will pay for the upgrade, they said will check in the morning. 9. Bathtub is not working. 10. The resort doesn't have lights and you can't go out and walk at night. 11. Reception said this resort does not allow smoke but the Bar has ashtray and we smoked. 12. Very very limited food, today is 19 July, had noodles and oily samosa as breakfast. Summary: 1. We are doing our best to leave this nightmare. 2. All 5 or 4 stars reviews are scam or management requested customers to put it. 3. I didn't mention the unprofessional behavior of the staff since I don't want to cause any issues. This review is directly to management and the resort. If you can afford this resort then listen to me who is Agoda platinum VIP member, go to any other resort, this resort is a scam. I was in many resorts here (4 to 5 stars), all of them are better than this dark broken resort. Just read booking.com or agoda 1 to 3 stars reviews and you will understand this resort is horrible !

Dear barrysama, In a first instance, I would like to convey to you my thanks for having shared with us your feedback pursuant to your recent stay at our Resort from July 18 – 20, 2022, in one of our “Luxury Garden Lagoona Suites” (no 318). To this effect, after having carefully reviewed the points you raised, I wish to respond hereto, as follows. Having taken careful note, of your overall visible discontent, in respect of your stay with us, allow me to share with you, in total sincerity, my apologies, as, most unfortunately, you did not find your experience to be to your expectations. On an opening note, contrary to your statement, I can assure you, that the Resort was not “empty”, as you portrayed. In fact, as out of our 54 Suites, 34 are equipped with “private pools”, as is also the case in our “Imperial Beach Jet Pool Villa”, one will find, that the majority of our esteemed guests tend to spend a considerable amount of time enjoying the privacy of their Suite and pools, whilst others, very often give preference to visiting our beautiful island of Mauritius. As to the sliding doors, leading to your balcony, again, whilst you suggested, that they could not close, in reality, as confirmed by both our Chief Engineer, as well as by our Executive Housekeeper, they were in good working order. However, when there are strong gusts of wind, which were recently the case during your stay with us, this could give the illusion, that the said sliding doors are not properly closed. Indeed, we do not provide heaters in our Suites, bearing in mind, that Mauritius enjoys a subtropical climate, which, therefore does not warrant the same. In fact, all of our Suites are equipped with AC. Thus, if one is susceptible to the cold, one would simply switch-off the AC and possibly even the Ceiling Fan in the Suite. With regards to your dissatisfaction with the flooring, in your Suite (No 318), it would only be opportune to mention, that it is a solid timber floor and as such, it is normal, that it can be squeaky at times resulting from movement causing a friction with the timber floor itself. In any event, I am sorry for any possible inconvenience caused, as a result thereof. On a different note, you mentioned that “the GM could not provide any fix to the aforementioned”. I am afraid that I cannot agree to this statement, for the simple reason, that on July 18, 2022, I was taken ill and thus, I was not able to be at work. However, in my absence, you did meet with both Stephano, our Chief Security Officer, who was “Duty Manager” on that day, together with Kiran, our Front Office Supervisor, both of whom, met with you and the offer was made for you to be moved to another “Luxury Garden Lagoona Suite” (no 308), which you declined to avail yourself of. In fact, it would only be appropriate to mention, that you expressed the wish to be moved to either to one of our “premium” categories of accommodation, being either a “Luxury Ocean Front Pool Suite” or alternatively, a “Luxury Beach Front Jet Pool Suite”. Unfortunately, we were not able to offer you either of these categories, as they were fully booked at the time. However, the offer was made to move to one of our “Luxury Pool Suites”, naturally, subject to a surcharge. Once again, you took the decision to then remain in Suite 318. Hence, in all fairness, every endeavour was made to satisfy your needs, accordingly. As to your complaint referring to your “bathtub not working”, upon verification thereof, it transpires, that it was fully functional during your entire stay with us. With regards to the lighting around the Resort, the concept being, to create a mood lighting conducive to the atmosphere much appreciated by the majority of our guests. On the same subject, it is noteworthy, that our Resort is particularly known to be a romantic destination favoured by a high number of honeymooners and couples celebrating various occasions with us throughout the year. Nonetheless, I am sorry, if it did not meet with your satisfaction. In terms of our policy relating to smoking, guests are more than welcome to smoke at either our “Sylea Bar” and adjacent lounge or at our “Passion Creole” Bar. However, it is prohibited from smoking in our Suites, for Health & Safety reasons. Nevertheless, if one wishes to smoke on one’s terrace or balcony, this is perfectly fine and, in such case, we are happy to provide an ashtray. On a different note, it is truly regrettable, that you did not find our Culinary experience to be to your expectations, even though, our Culinary team under the stewardship of our Executive Chef, make every endeavour to offer a wide variety of choices and specialities, for the enjoyment of our most discerning guests. On a same note, I feel it important, to highlight, that our menus are very regularly reviewed with as objective to satisfy the palate of our guests. Nonetheless, it is most disappointing to learn, that you did not enjoy our Culinary offering s made available in our different Restaurants. In closing, might I take this occasion, to, once again, express to you my gratitude for having shared with us your comments, which can only serve us better in providing an optimal service and guest experience. Amazing hotel, great start to this beautiful heavenly land, we took the ocean view suite and it was extremely fantastic, the suite is much better than the pictures, the heated pool and the jacuzi, the great balcony and view, special thanks to Mr Anan who made our stay very helpful with his availability around the clock and providing excellabt services.
