Big room, worn out bathroom fixtures, windows didn’t lock - making for a very noisy night. Sagging bed lamp. Substandard breakfast. Not the standard I am used to from decades at Mercure ( I am French)

Loud noise from outside from 6 am until 5 pm on Saturday made the experience very unpleasant. Average breakfast. No fresh fruit juicy was available. :(

ZERO noise isolation - NO drinking water provided - Poor breakfast

The lobby is beautiful and the rooms spacious, but that's about it. I stayed in the 21st floor and the noise from outside was unbelievable. The second and third night there was construction work all night, and we just could not sleep - it was as if we were in the middle of the construction itsef. Moreover, we were shocked when we asked for drinking water and the reception staff (a young woman with a bad attitude) said tthe only alternative was bottled water from the minibar, at a ludicrous cost of USD 2 per small bottle. This is outright unacceptable - every hotel in Brazil knows the water from the tap is not drinkable, and provides filtered water free of charge to guests. In short, when I book a hotel I expect, at the very minimum, two things: quiet/comfort, and necessary items for survival (such as water, a toilet, etc.). I got none of those. The bathroom was rather small and the drain did not work well; finally, breakfast was 'bare bones' and didnt even had fresh coffe - only a ready made machine. Would not stayed again even if I was paid to do so.
