O meu quarto era espaçoso, limpo e confortável. Apreciei a decoração e a casa de banho. O pequeno-almoço tinha bastante variedade, mas a minha comida favorita foi o iogurte com granola.

There was a warm welcome in a beautiful building, except there was no coffee fir breakfast. The room was nice, beds comfortable, the ladies at the desk were kind and helpful. that is all i have to say ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————.

(For english, so below) Bij aankomt troffen we 3 werkneemsters aan, aan de receptie die zich klaarblijkelijk steendood stonden te vervelen. Met weinig animo kregen we een kamer toegewezen. Groot was onze verbazing toen we vaststellenden dat deze kamer géén raam had (zie foto's). Het is te zeggen: er was een raam letterlijk ín het dak (van het plafond) waardoor uiteraard niet te kijken viel. Het gevolg was een gevoel alsof je in een gevangenis opgesloten zat. Vanzelfsprekend gingen wij verhaal halen aan de receptie, waar één medewerkster ons gesprek hoorde en zonder om te zien (ze zat met haar gezicht weg van ons) schaamteloos zei tegen de jonge medewerkster aan de toog dat we 'zo een kamer' hadden. Met andere woorden: ze wist zeer goed dat deze kamer al tot problemen geleid had maar maakte niet de minste aanstalten om klantgericht iets te veranderen. Wij kregen doodleuk de mededeling dat alle kamers volzet waren en daar dienden we het dan mee te doen. Want laat het duidelijk zijn: op de website is nergens sprake van een kamer zonder raam en alle foto's tonen duidelijk kamers mét ramen. In feite was het niet kunnen leveren van een gepaste kamer, een probleem van het hotel maar de 3 medewerksters stelden het voor alsof het óns probleem was. Op geen enkele manier werd naar een oplossing gezocht of een tegemoetkoming bezorgd. We mochten morgen nog eens terugkomen om te zien of er dan een andere kamer beschikbaar was, voor onze 2de nacht. De bewuste kamer het verder een gevaarlijke drempel bij het betreden van de kamer, van ongeveer 10 cm (zie foto). Verder konden we de kamer nauwelijks verwarmd krijgen, ondanks dat we de verwarming op zelfs finaal 30 graden Celsius zetten. Tot slot kon je als koppel vanuit het bed niet behoorlijk televisie kijken, want er stond een stutpaal voor het zicht... 's Anderendaags kregen we een nieuwe kamer toegewezen. Onze bagage zou daar geplaatst worden. Bij terugkeer uit de stad en bij betreding van ide kamer, stelden we vast dat onze bagage er niet stond. Konden we weer terug naar de receptie. Ook toen geen enkele melding van excuses voor de eerste nacht in de raamloze kamer en geen aanstalten om een compensatie te voorzien. Zelfs nog geen flutdrankje in de bar. Wij zijn werkelijk geen moeilijke mensen maar zo behandeld als in Ibis zijn wij als klanten nog nooit! En de nieuwe kamer? Die had inderdaad normale ramen maar daar werkte de lavabo niet. Gelet op de eerder meegemaakte klantenbeleving, namen we niet de moeite daarover te berichten. Ons verblijf in het horrorhotel was immers beperkt tot 2 dagen. Gelukkig maar. Eén goede raad: kijk verder dan de mooie facade van het gebouw en zoek uw hotel elders! English: On arrival we found 3 employees at the reception who were apparently bored to death. With little enthusiasm we were allocated a room. We were very surprised when we found out that this room had no window (see photos). That is to say: there was a window literally in the roof (of the ceiling) through which of course it was impossible to see. The result was a feeling of being locked up in a prison. Naturally we went to the reception to tell our story, where one employee overheard our conversation and without looking back (she was sitting with her face away from us) shamelessly told the young employee at the counter that we had 'such a room'. In other words, she knew very well that this room had already led to problems, but made no attempt to change anything customer-oriented. We were casually informed that all rooms were full and we had to deal with that. Let it be clear: nowhere on the website is there any mention of a room without a window and all photos clearly show rooms with windows. In fact, not being able to provide a suitable room was a problem for the hotel, but the 3 employees presented it as if it was our problem. No solution was sought or compensation provided in any way. We were allowed to come back tomorrow to see if another room was available for our 2nd night. The room in question furthermore has a dangerous threshold when entering the room, of about 10 cm (see photo). Furthermore, we could hardly get the room heated, despite the fact that we even set the heating to a final 30 degrees Celsius. Finally, as a couple you couldn't watch TV properly from the bed, because there was a support pole in front of the view (see photo)... The next day we were assigned a new room. Our luggage would be placed there. Upon returning from the city and entering the room, we found that our luggage was not there. We could go back to the reception. Even then no mention of apologies for the first night in the windowless room and no attempt to provide compensation. Not even a crappy drink in the bar. We are really not difficult people, but we as customers have never been treated so as by Ibis! And the new room? It did indeed have normal windows, but the sink didn't work there. In view of the previously experienced customer experience, we did not bother to report on this. After all, our stay at the horror hotel was limited to 2 days. Good thing, too. One piece of advice: look beyond the beautiful facade of the building and find your hotel elsewhere! Some positive items to end: the rooms are renovated, the shower is large and good and the hotel is situated in the middle of the centre.

The location is very convenience, in the centre of the City. Tha staff is not so friendly, maybe a little bit training will be welcomed :). Very clean, good breakfast. Congrats for housekeepers, they do a veru good job!

I loved my stay at the hotel. The value for money is great and the location perfect, in the center but at the same time with supersilentious rooms. Having asked for a nice and quiet room since I would have celebrated my fiftieth birthday during my stay, I even found balloons and a bottle of sparkling wine kindly offered in the room upon my arrival! The staff is very competent and helpful. In short, super recommended hotel!
