Staying in Premier Village was one of those rare occasions where everything seemed to be perfect from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in we were offered an upgrade to a Rock Villa (which was fantastic) and our resort host (shout out to Tu) was always helpful and attentive since day 1. We made a request for a special lunch on Christmas eve, and the resort was able to arrange for us. We even had the privilege of being driven to our villa by none other than the GM himself! Overall, a truly relaxing, luxurious and private resort which we really enjoyed. The kind of place we were looking for in a year full of challenges and stress.

This was my second time staying at Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, and I was as satisfied as I had been the first time. All my requests were properly and professionally fulfilled, with an outstanding amount of hospitality from the resort staff. The views were amazing as always, the villa was great, the food and drinks were so delicious. One of the reasons I would choose to continue to be an ALL member is definitely the inclusion of Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort in AccorHotels.

Good value stay ruined by inept management and careless staff

I had stayed the Premier Village twice before. The first visit was simply outstanding, the second less so, but still acceptable. This stay however has made us seriously questioned why we even bother to give our repeated business to a resort with such good hard products but did not seem to bother improve on its services. The resort is beautiful - from the beach, the spa, the villa itself, to the long winding road to the resort - everything is simply breathtaking. The buffet is also good - seafood is fresh and well seasoned, the lobsters in particular is the highlight. The spa is phenomenal - very good techniques and ambience, with a splendid view (from the VIP room) to boot. These are the reasons why we keep coming back for three times, even though we started to notice the soft product is not on the same level w/ the hard products. And what a discrepancy it was. It started from before check-in, when I informed the guest relations staff that this stay was a birthday celebration for my partner. The staff then emailed back and asked for copy of my partner's ID, as proof that it was indeed his birthday, so that they could give us a free cake. I emailed back and said I had never been asked to provide ID via email in advance of a stay just to prove that it was indeed our birthday, and if that is the resort's policy, they can have the cake, thank you very much. During check-in, the Guest Relations Manager (Ms. Judy if I'm not wrong) came to greet me as I am a Gold member and a repeat guest, but she did not address that issue. When I brought it up, she did not even acknowledge it was a mistake or provide any assurance that she would look into it, merely nodded and proceeded to tell me I'd get 10% off for the spa service, as part of my membership in AccorPlus (??). We reached the resort to find a cake in the fridge, with a card from Ms. Judy herself thanking me for coming back, and not mentioning my boyfriend's birthday anywhere. I would understand junior staff making mistake, but for management to fail this very basic courtesy - no wonder why Premier Village has gone down. There were other hiccups during our stay: the electricity kept turning off for a few seconds and coming back on again, the TV did not work at all during the first day, the villa has a foul odor from the master bedroom, etc., but what was most appalling was during breakfast, we found the napkin wrapping around our new, clean, ready-to-be-use utensils to be stained with lipstick and fresh watermelon juice. So much for showing off and emphasizing the ALL SAFE standards - guess ALL SAFE was just that - a show. The icing on the cake was when we raised this to a waitstaff, she simply took the used napkin away without any apology, and never returned w/ new napkins or utensils. To give credit where it's due, our villa host - Ms. Duyen, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible given those lapses. But her effort alone wasn't enough to help save Premier. And with the abundance of choices in PQ - the JW, the Nam Nghi Hyatt Unbound, I wish to see her in PQ again, but most likely not at Premier Village.

Firstly we would like to thank you for being a loyal ALL Gold member. We would like to offer our sincere apologies regarding your stay with us. We are constantly reviewing and implementing new standard procedures to elevate our services and feedback like yours is taken seriously and we use it for improvement. Our “welcome card” is also our “welcome back card” for our returning guests. The cake and balloon decoration set up was our way to greet your partners birthday. I apologize if you felt ignored when sharing your concerns with me. I took immediate measures regarding your pre-arrival experience to prevent it from happening in the future and rest assured I took your concerns seriously. The electricity shortcoming that day was due to the main supplier of the island and affected the entire property. Unfortunately this is something out of our reach and we are addressing this matter with the supplier. We have addressed the remaining issues with your villa with the concerned teams so it won’t happen in the future. We are reviewing and reinforcing our intense ALLSAFE training and thanks to your feedback we will pay extra attention to our breakfast service. Your kind words to our resort host Ms. Duyen have been shared with her personally. Recognition about her work will surely give her motivation to strive in her duties. We have good trip to the Resort. The villa is very good, service is good, staff is very helpful. However, we cannot swim at the beach due to strong wind during the time at the resort. We was sent to the West beach but the water is not clear, also, it's like a pond with no wave. The public swimming pool is for decoration, a lot of decorating things in the pool results in obstacles no space for swimming. I never see a swimming pool like that in a resort. Then we needed to make use of the tiny swimming pool in the villa.

Love everything except the housekeeping

We love our stay but can't quite give the excellent top score just yet. The rooms are expected to be cleaned everyday but we did not find that the job is done thoroughly. Also, water is supposed to be checked and re-filled but on the second day it was not done, we had to order at night time ourselves. Please also check your bed mattress quality as compared to Premiere Residences, we do feel that the mattress quality is not the same, especially the extra bed. We love to stay at your place and we do care so we want to make sure you hear our voice. We see the trashes on the beach sometimes, not your fault since this is due to the wind direction and season however it does not hurt to clean up the beach at all you know. Lots of trashes at the local attractions inside the resort as well (Giếng Tiên), again, it does not hurt to pick them up and help clean the ocean. We stayed here fr 16 Nov to 17. Only one night but we feel very impresive . And then, we have come back again àfter 3 days. We love Premier village with nice staff, nice breakfast and very beautiful resort. We will come here again when return PQ. Love you all , Premier Village .

Beautiful beach and view. Large, clean and great villa with full of accommodations. Staffs were really nice, supportive and friendly. Food was not delicious, Phu Quoc Ray chicken and cheese pizza were too salty. Buffet menu has variety in food but not really good. Resort located far away from center and visitting areas, it took lots of time to get there.

spacious room perfect for family trips

It was great stay overall. I was assigned with personal assistant, Channy. She was greatly helpful through out the stay. A couple of things that could be improved; 1) air-conditioning in the villa : when we entered the villa we could smell some mold and it continued to smell till the end of the stay. I think filter in the A/C needs to be regularly cleaned and sanitized. 2) Room service : Room service food were delivered in disposable plates and containers which we don't normally expect when we stay at 5-star accommodation, 3) Explanation about use of pre-paid voucher : staff at the reception should be trained better. I bought 7mil VND voucher and had about 400,000 vnd left when I check out I asked the receptionist at the lobby to keep it on my account as I was planning to come back, she didn't say anything but it turns out the remaining money is only valid per stay, thus the 400,000vnd is expired as I left the resort.
