Although I had checked in online, the receptionist asked me to wait for ten minutes before he got someone else to deal with me. Some for the hotel was dilapidated. The 'hot' breakfast was cold.

There were a few issues including broken window lock over an accessible flat roof and no hot water in the morning for a shower. The breakfast was very poor quality as well

Very friendly check in and room was very clean with a very comfortable bed and a good powerful shower with plenty of hot water. The male member of staff on duty in the evening kept us entertained with his local stories and the drinks and food went down so much better with his friendliness. The breakfast selection was extensive and the hot food was very tasty and cooked to a high standard. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Well located but let's itself down

Great location, nice hotel and lovely helpful staff. Hotel let itself down with threadbare towels, an empty body wash in the shower and impossible to use the desk to work on as there is no space from the end of the bed to comfortably sit on the chair to work at the desk. A decent breakfast was included cooked and/or continental. Resolve the above issues and it would be a better place to stay.

Building work started drilling at 7am week days 200 ft away from my window, the kettle didn't work (although this was swapped when I asked about it), booked the day before my stay and no info on the website about a loud boxing event happening in the building set to go on late. Only told when checking in so I had no option to go anywhere else. The breakfast was okay. The checkout at 12pm was a nice perk allows for a lazy or working morning then head out for lunch.

Too much design and not enough practicality

Good points: g=very good breakfast buffet, helpful and friendly staff. Negative points: no proper wardrobe in the room to hang your clothes, just a low fitted piece of industrial pipe with some hangers on which were too close to the floor; no plug for the sink in the bathroom (apparently not able to to be supplied as it is a disabled bathroom - not something requested by us). Having to contact staff, order from the bar etc via Whatsapp. Not everyone has a smartphone! Probably a hotel for younger people. If you are over 40 and enjoy comfort and practical, well designed and comfortable rooms best to avoid this hotel. Noise from the gym below until 10pm and starting up again at 6am. Shower delivered only lukewarm water.

This was an overpriced room. Dark, small and uncomfortable. Did not stay the 2nd night, even though it was cheaper. Not appropriate for an hotel. The 1st night stay was overpriced; I feel cheated and await my refund.

We stayed one night at this hotel in room 119. The bedroom was fine with everything we needed but the smell of damp in the bathroom was horrendous. The breakfast was great but please be very careful around the bar area as there were several rugs which were very easy to trip up on. The corners of the rugs were turned up and easily caught.

Stayed 3 nights, good breakfast, comfortable bed, room not huge but large enough for our needs, not troubled by any noise from nearby M5. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want somewhere with attractions or things to do within walking distance probably not for you but if you know you are going to be driving to places and out most of the day it’s ideal. We did have a drink in the bar , not over priced and decent selection.

Can’t fault my stay as usual all the staff are always so friendly and the hotel is always so clean. The breakfast included with the room is very good for the money and collecting from the reception is very quick and easy
