The location was very good. Staff were very pleasant but run off their feet especially on the Restaurant for Breakfast. Rooms were tired looking tired and a little uncared for. Long hairs on the basin were not ours? Bed was very comfortable. Still it was not fully the best stay for reasons listed. Glad we did not waste Accor points on this stay..but the cost did not reflect what it should have been.

We had a relaxing time enjoying the pool area, the nearby city beach and breakfast. The units were comfortable and we enjoyed the city view.

Very central location, good facilities and excellent service

We stayed for a week and despite a mix up with the bedding that was rectified very quickly, it was a great stay. The staff were extremely responsive to all of our requests and the room had good facilities . The location is really close to Southbank Parklands, restaurants and public transport to the city and the Gabba.

Acknowledge COVID issues and that occupancy is down and so the Mantra lacked atmosphere. The concierge welcomed us and took our luggage which was waiting for us in our room. He was always ready with a smile on our coming and going. Checkin was not so streamlined as I think we possibly had a trainee who was not top of everything including the credit card machine. In addition we had difficulty in convincing her we had not brought a vehicle as she desperately was trying to sell us one. The room and corridors appeared to be recently recarpeted and was very comfortable underfoot. The bed linen was very good and pillows comfortable. The bed mattress felt as if it needed to be replaced as we could in some places feel springs BUT we both slept well on both nights. The bathroom was sad.. it was badly in need of refurbishment. It is of a good size and could readily be upgraded. Those issues provide no excuse for the black mould on the grouting.

IN PARTICULAR, WISH I HAD OF GOT THE YOUNG MANS NAME THAT WELCOMED OUR GROUP OF 7. IM ASSUMING YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SEE ON A ROSTER AS TO WHOM HE WAS? WE ARRIVED ON TUESDAY THE 11TH JANUARY AROUND 3PM. THE YOUNG MAN THAT GREETED OUR GROUP COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY MORE HELPULL,POLITE AND INVITING, HE IS DEFINATELY A CREDIT TO YOUR HOTEL. AND AGAIN ON OUR DEPARTURE ON THE THURSDAY IT WAS HE AGAIN THAT WAS RETRIEVING OUR VECHILES ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS THAT WERE WAITING FOR THERES AND AGAIN AS BUSY AS HE WAS HIS COURTESY WAS ABOVE ANY THAT WE HAVE RECIEVED IN MANY ACCOMODATION SITUATIONS. SO THANKYOU AND A BIG POSITIVE SHOUT OUT TO THE MANTRA AT SOUTHBANK BRISBANE. REGARDS NANCY THAWITES

Disappointing with a $360 price tag for one night

Check in was good but disappointing from then on. The bed was so hard we left at 2.00 a.m. to go home so we could at least get a few hours sleep. I was really disappointed with the room having no where for 2 people to sit and enjoy the city view we paid extra for. When we opened the window the outside was filthy so had trouble seeing through this. We wanted to support locals during covid but would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Nothing was functioning in the lobby on a Friday night so had to leave to get a drink.One little bar of soap during covid times to use not great. For the price of $360 a night you would expect better. We did not even get to enjoy the breakfast we paid for. When we left at 2.00 a.m. no one asked us why we were leaving or did we enjoy our stay. Very disappointing as we were celebrating my birthday.

A couple of important factors for me when I travel are the bed and the bathroom. I don’t know if the bed wasn’t a standard queen size or it just felt small because it was in a small room, mattress was too firm and lumpy. I am not a fan of a shower over a bath. I only stayed here because Novotel Southbank was unavailable for the month. The hotel restaurant was not open for dinner. We only stayed one night as a result.

This property is in very poor condition. We have staid here twice in the last few months and nothing has improved. Carpet missing inside robe, thread bare at bathroom door, blinds didn’t fit properly, very poor layout.

Perfect location for the Cultural Precint

The room was spacious and within walking distance to QPAC, the Museum and the Art Gallery. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner but with so many restaurants/food outlets close by it was not a major concern.

We find Mantra South Bank so convenient when we travel into Brisbane to attend shows at QPAC. Situated across the road from the South Bank restaurant strip it's great for dining and easy walking distance to the theatre. Great also for an after theatre drink before turning in for the night
