Fell down very unsafe stairs, hurt ankle quite badly. Spa area unsafe, boards loose and screws sticking up. Spa gate did not shut properly. Furniture in disrepair, rubbish under couches, only decaf coffee and earl gray tea available, no extra towels for spa. No salt and pepper. Expected more from a penthouse.

Need to provide some WiFi without charging. Car park is very pokey. Need to be allocated a spot as it was quite difficult to get a park without having to drive around a couple of times. How do you stop tenants from using more than there allocated parking space?

We booked weeks in advance and specifically requested a 3 bedroom level 25 or above and ocean facing. I indicated to the lady at reception we are repeat customers, she said she would make a special note of it on the booking. When we showed up we were very dissapointed to see we had been given a room on level 10. We then wasted around an hour looking for a parking spot in B1 & B2 for both cars (room came with 2 car spots) as all the visitor car spaces had been taken. In the end the cleaning lady suggested we park in Commercial until spots became available. The facilities including pool, BBQ area were open only until 5.30pm every day which for a family holiday was extremely dissapointing, especially knowing that other apartments including The Qube had facilities open till 9.30pm like normal. As Mantra members we used to receive a welcome pack, this had stopped. Further WIFI was no longer available free like it used to be for Mantra members. This was an optional extra this time around. I would suggest as a holiday accommodation group Mantra have lost connection with the customer. We will not be staying at another Mantra again.

We stayed 4 nights, first & last we’re great. Second & third were a Friday & Saturday, too much noise with a couple of rooms talking/laughing & too loud. It was party central looking at the amount of empty alcohol bottles left in the garbage room. We could have called security but the noise was like they were moving between rooms so thought the security wouldn’t be able to do much.

Good stay but I was upset as the stand up fan was dusty

We had a lovely stay. Unfortunately there was no FOXTEL and told that it would be connected but was not. We also booked for five people and there was not enough cutlery, towels and blankets for that number. There was an outdoor chair with a broken leg, knob on the stove completely broken and stains on the carpet. 2606 needs a little love put back into it.

A clean & comfortable apartment that faced the hills. There was no pre-arrival or at-arrival discussion about having a beach/sea view, which we would have preferred. If that was an option on booking.com then it wasn't obvious. Also, the corner we looked down on was exceptionally busy and noisy with traffic. An easy walk to the beach and lots of good food around

Reception staff lovely and friendly, hotel lobby welcoming,nice and clean. The apartment is well equipped and clean but looking a little tired. Nice relaxing few days with family. Even though there were plenty of signage for Covid-19 we did receive disgruntled comments and flippant remarks from other guest regarding the use of the lift. As a family of 3 and sometimes 4 of us in the lift already it was concerning that some were not patient or respectful of the Covid-19 social distancing requirements of your hotel. We are unsure how you can improve on this experience but thought you should be aware.

Overall it wasn't that bad however the owners may want to update their technology in some rooms. Eg smart TV but could not connect our devices with it. Also the cleanliness of the room is pretty low (not to my level of clean Covid standards). I went through everything on arrival. I could still see fingerprints on cupboards, benches etc so this prompted me to wipe all surfaces down throughout the apartment and basically any surface someone would have touched. I was surprised at how much dirt I cleaned off. On many occasions coming out of the lift and going to our rooms there was a stench of cigarettes down the hall. Do you allow owners to smoke in their apartments? It was very off putting. Finally if you have guests pay for an ocean view then please provide a room that has one or do not charge them for it. You get the view of 2 buildings in front of your balcony. You get a small window of the ocean on your right but not what I envisaged when I chose the "ocean view" apartment. Maybe show the actual view that you get with each apartment and not one from an apartment higher up.

Enjoyed a quick overnight stay at the last minute. Prices are high for the quality and condition of the units. Overall the block is lovely and high quality but the rooms are knocked around a little bit unfortunately. Biggest thing is the blinds on the windows. The entire front of the apartment is windows but there isn't sufficient block out so the sun streams in at dawn. Bit of a disappointment on holidays and with young children. Most annoying thing was the number of lightbulbs blown in the unit. It was almost dark in the large ensuite bathroom plus the lamps weren't working. When we got back to our room in the evening it was too late to phone concierge to have them changed. Seems like a small thing but really was a major detraction. Lovely foyer and pool area but just needs a tiny bit more attention to detail.

This is the second time that we had stayed at Mantra Grand Sierra. The first time however was with a private unit and we didn't have any issues apart from the shower pressure. However this time was not as pleasant. We had rented through 2 units direct through mantra. The first guy (Scott) that we dealt with was very accomodating though the customer service that we received from another staff member was disgusting. Both units were not clean, (considering all the issues that we have with Covid atm you would think that this would be there number 1 priority) one had a curtain half hanging down, laundry absolutely stunk like vomit, smells from the both shower drains was putrid, the tv in one of units did not work for 24 hours, we tried to ring reception on multiple times the first night to let them know but no answer. The second night both families were not able to find a park. We ran reception and were told that unfortunately it is first in first served and that we would have to find somewhere on the street. Even though when we booked and checked in we were advised that there was 1 car park for each unit. The lady on the reception was very rude and not helpful at all. The fact that they also allow dogs in their hotel was not very impressive if we had known this prior we prob would not have stayed there as 2 of the young children that were travelling with us are extremely scared of dogs. This will def be the last time that we stay Mantra Grand Sierra.

Friendly and welcoming reception. Large room, nice and spacious for a family or 4-5. Unfortunately the furniture throughout is knocked about and needs replacing. Balcony was extremely dirty, sliding doors and tracks haven't been cleaned in a long time. Balcony furniture very worn out. No doona/quilt on the bed, just a sheet and the blanket found in the wardrobe was dirty, so that was not pleasant in winter. Parking was easy, good location close to the beach and restaurants, just a shame about the room itself, otherwise a good property with good facilities including pool, gym, theatre and tennis court.

Great spot and views. Well appointed rooms and clean.
