Location was close to beach, shops and restaurants. We were in room 1506 3bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Views from balcony and master bedroom were amazing. Road noise was bad. It felt like we were sleeping on the road and not 15 floors up. The doors and windows need to be replaced with triple glaze noise reducing glass. Pools and spas were clean and warm.

We stayed at your venue from 16-19 October. I phone ahead make sure our vehicle would fit in the underground secure car park. Was assured it would. Upon arrival was greeted at reception. Was very clean and customer service was good. Was advised to park in basement 2 car park 229. The further we went down the lower the height went. We went back to reception to advise our car would not fit in the allocated spot. Was then advised to park in any space that didn’t have a red dot as the car parks had not been allocated yet. Then realised all the car park had a red dot what we should have been advised was to park in the visitor car park. Frustrating as we were going back and forward to reception to make sure we were doing the right thing in the end wasted 45mins getting it sorted.

Great view but a bit noisy

The view was lovely- the first impression was disappointing. The reception staff were more concerned with sprouting their policies then providing good customer service. I specifically booked these apartments as we could get 2 king beds as I was travelling with a friend. When we were allocated our room I asked her to confirm it had 2 king beds to which she replied no and that it is never guaranteed - really poor service. She did eventually change our rooms but only after I threatened to leave and demand a refund. The room was on the 25th floor and still could hear the traffic. Beds at the end of their life the mattresses need replacing.

Comfortable Stay, well located

Checkin was polite and professional. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Location of this hotel is why we chose it. The facilities were very well maintained. We stayed on the 21st floor in the room next to the garbage shute. There was an odour coming from the garbage room for the 3 days of our stay. Checkout was very fast. I would definitely recommend staying at Mantra Sierra Grand.

I’m a member of the Accor group and normally stay at a Pullman or similar. This my first time at a Mantra property and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was great and the service excellent. So much so I have rebooked.

Whilst hotel looked beautiful and as are amenities and staff fantastic - our room was filthy - ( thank god there was a vac there ) Carpet was dirty - a previous guest so old hair band was in the floor - the drinking glasses where like someone had drank milk from them and returned to cupboard - stained curtains in main room - broken bath tap ( could be a easy fix with some silicon ) For $900 cost for the two nights - it was very disappointing - Although location and staff and amenities(Pool etc ) were great .

Arrived in the evening, but hadn’t been given any info about late check in procedures. Luckily the security guard was helpful. Parking was woeful - no guest parking available after driving around 2 floors with multiple dead ends. Had to park in the “Restaurant customers only” carparks and wander aimlessly around the very smelly carpark and service corridors to find our way back into the building as no lifts to that carpark level, and no signage directing back to the hotel. Apartment was sparsely furnished and very run down. Faux rattan balcony furniture was badly disintegrating and unravelling. Couldn’t sit on it as it would have caught on and potentially torn clothing. Public area cleaner, weekend receptionist and security guard were all lovely, friendly and helpful, but we won’t choose this property again, and will rethink Mantra overall.

Thought the unit would be a bit nicer. Was a great floor facing the ocean, damaged tiles with tape stuck down on balcony. Stereo did not work. Bathroom door did not shut securely. Bed in second room was a proper king but the one in the main room was joined together.

Our room was spacious with a great ocean view. The hotel had excellent amenities. The kids loved the pool! The hotel is in a central location and super close to a large shopping mall, which is handy for groceries.

Overall considered below expectation for a Mantra resort. Some things were great like the pool, size of the apartment and views. Several things fell short. Tiles were lifting on the balcony which created a hazard, there were spills on the balcony that had not been cleaned, the floor in the kitchen was sticky, the furniture was tired, bedroom lampshade was broken, there were visible dust marks on the air conditioning event and ceilings.

We had a 2 day stay in a beautiful 3 bedroom unit. Our son is in a wheelchair and it was very easy for him to navigate around the unit. He loved the indoor pool. We were disappointed that WFI was not inclusive

The hotel is well located, close to amenities however, it wasn’t cleaned properly, there was dust on the counter tops and tables, the balcony wasn’t cleaned properly either. The shower was so small and uncomfortable to use. The pictures on the mantra website is nothing like the hotel we saw, especially the shower .
