Clean room, quite, good service and close to everything

Our hotel king room (the room type booked) do not equip with a kitchenette . Our Studio king rooms and executive rooms have the benefit of a kitchen option and a microwave. The bed was amazing and the pillows I. Enjoyed sleeping in the bed and felt clean. I loved the size of the bathroom, though I thought I would have a bathtub to indulge in and soak my feet in the cold weather but there was not one. Customer service was great

Disappointing that the restaurant was not open for dinner, and the breakfast options were very limited. One small suggestion: to review the bathroom shower tubes since the tubes are impossible to open.

Disappointing, expected a lot higher standard for the price we paid. Bed was hard and uncomfortable, heat pump rattled every time it turned itself on and off. Breakfast was very low standard and we had to wait an hour while other people that came in after us received theirs before us. Ok

Good, practical and located better than you might think

Was pushed by the state government from the originally booked Seaport Peppers to this property. Now the Seaport is an amazing location but the state government got it's fingers on the place for Quarantine purposes and hence I was bumped. Originally I was significantly put out by this but some significant credit has to go to Douglas the very communicative general manager of the hotel for his straight, honest comments around this. The hotel is quite literally on the other end of town from the Seaport but don't be dismayed, it's actually quite an easy walk (even on the way back, uphill) and located fairly close to some nice restaurants and a sizeable Coles - the latter being key as the room had a useful kitchenette (ask for the cooking implements if they are not in your room already). The room was large, not super beautiful, perhaps a little dim, but exceedingly practical and the beds and pillows are *very* awesome. So really - I can't fault it (though perhaps they should remove 'laundry' from the list of room features on their website as this refers to a common laundry on the 3rd floor) Quick note: 2021 Launceston isn't unfortunately like pre-covid Launceston with a few places having to shut and the usual 'book for everything' vibe but with some patience hopefully it'll be a back (Launceston, not COVID). We thoroughly enjoyed Mantra Charles Launceston, it's a great location within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and cafe's. Our very nice spacious corner suite came complete with decorations and balloons for my birthday [a very nice touch, thank you]. The hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast but that suited us just fine. Easy parking adjacent to the lobby.

You need to put black out curtains on the windows. The blinds on the windows do not close up very well leaving gaps and allowing light in the room at a very early time of the morning. Sleep was not good due to this problem, we have travelled the world and have never come across such ineffective window coverings.
