Location was spectacular and the apartment itself was fine. However there were moldy smoothie cup lids under the bed, plants covered in a thick layer of dust and dried melted instant coffee granules all over the kitchen floor. Also the dryer was broken, toilet roll holder dropped the paper in the bin constantly and the ensuit shower flooded the floor and the fan didn’t work. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet and filthy underneath and no toilet brush available to clean it. Make sure you bring your own toiletries. The staff hours over weekends is extremely limited if you leave before 9am and come back after 3pm there won’t be anyone to assist you, also they appear to leave the new untrained staff alone on these smaller shifts and the young lady did everything she could to help but hadn’t been fully trained yet. After hours check in wasn’t well explained either and a bit of a pain if you’re arriving outside their office hours. Also the bedroom had no lamp and the light switch was outside the room door, just a bit of an ergonomic disaster. However location, view and facilities (pool, spa etc) were great. They were very light on cutlery I think there was only one fork but they had toaster kettle microwave pots pans etc. the staff were friendly when we did get a hold of someone. Beautiful view and foxtel available, wifi was however an additional cost.

Loved staying here, so close to everything but in a quiet location with terrific waterfront views. The only slight annoyance was the renovation work which we were aware of beforehand but we felt that jackhammering commencing before 8am was a little unreasonable. Would stay here again next time we visit the Gold Coast.

Always a good & easy place to stay.. Attention to detail on the cleaning has slipped a bit since last visit.

We have stayed at the Peninsular before and enjoyed the amenities, location and view. We were disappointed that our room had a hinterland view as opposed the ocean but it was still a great outlook, especially at night. The room is in need of some attention and upgrade. The couches were worn, clock stopped, main bed caved into the middle, bed cover on single bed was ripped, curtains were off their hooks and didnt meet in the middle, behind the door had not been washed for sometime and very dusty, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed under the couch or behind the bedside tables as bits of rubbish remained from previous guests and the outdoor furniture was old and uninviting. The lift area was littered with rubbish on day one which remained for some days
