We arrived at 2pm for checkin and it was still more than 30mins wait to get into a our room we left Sydney at 430am that morning with 2 kids it wasn't a present experience to wait even longer. The swimming pool is disgusting im a swimming pool technician that needs to be addressed. I would not allow my family in there at all.. Room service was very poor every 3 days they never replenished anything only seemed to make beds and vacuum the floor and tidy bathroom/replace towels. I had to ask on a number of accounts more than 5 times in 2 weeks for toliet paper, dishwashing powder, washing powder, For the price of the daily stay and parking cost I would not stay again.

The reception staff where very helpful and allowed us to get into our room earlier than normal. I am very grateful for their help as my daughter was feeling very sick and need to rest.

Very pleasant stay but could be improved upon. Well located for us

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the CBD but that was no issue for us as there is a FREE CAT (Central Area Transit Bus) just up the hill past the BWS shop and outside the Post Office (<5 mins) that takes you into town. These CAT buses are fab doing routes around the city on a loop so there is no danger of you going into an area that you need to pay. See Transperth website for the routes and a map. Some of the other times we walked into the city 20-30 min walk along the sea front. Check in was easy with the efficient staff but they did try to sell us breakfast - Why Im in an apartment? We stayed in room 414 that had a balcony looking on to the courtyard, roof and the BWS (Beers Wine Spirit) shop and it was quiet except for the odd Horn or Siren. The room was large with a couch, a comfy chair and a dining table and a small kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom that also has a washing machine and tumble dryer. The decor on the whole was fresh but the tiles in the bathroom/wetroom could do with updating (Not mouldy) just old looking and needs modernising. The bathroom also had the odd stained paint at the edge of the tiles (watermark) that was purely due to the tiles stopping and could be extended. You have to be a safe cracker though to get the temperature right on the two taps in the shower, a slight turn means you get scalded or frozen and if you use the washing machine at the same time as a shower the same thing happens. For me the biggest gripe is the kitchen as you get a two ring stove but you get ONE frying pan and ONE pot. Both of whic are TOOOO big so you cant get both on the cooker at the same time. Also you get TWO plates, Two Bowls, TWO saucers, TWO Mugs and TWO wine glasses and TWO tall glasses but cutlery for six people. The best bit is you also get a full size dishwasher?????? Silly if you ask me. The bedroom was big but you get one wardrobe with a safe and two bedside drawers - definitely not enough storage. The room was also dark with only two bedside lights - no ceiling light. It also had aircon in the bedroom and living room. As we were staying for like 17 days we only got our bins emptied and bed linen and towels changed twice (One weekly housekeeping) THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE. Bins should be emptied at least three times a week and towels changed twice a week and bed linen once a week. We had to resort to washing our own towels and drying them. Despite that, did I enjoy the stay - yes. Would I stay here again? Only if they changed the above gripes re the crockery and cleaning.

Dear Christopher C., We very much appreciate your comments regarding your stay at the Mantra on Hay Perth. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one. Sincerely, James Pascoe

The two bedroom apartment was clean although some of the furniture a little tired looking but comfortable and all that we needed. We did ask for the two single beds to be put together the day before our arrival so we had two doubles. Unfortunately we arrived to four single beds. This did not get rectified although promised thru out our three night stay. Breakfast was okay and enough choice for us although as I'm vegetarian some mushrooms added to the menu would have been nice. Staff were friendly and helpful although things got little confused. Can use the Accor Plus card for dining in the little restaurant here which is nice. Great walking distance for many of Perth sites so you can get you exercise in. Didn't use the pool but it did look inviting although there is no outdoor seating. Would we stay again, yes we would as it was a pleasant stay.
