The request for 2 king singles and a fold out couch wasn’t there when we arrived but the staff (I think her name was Charlotte) was right onto it and was extremely helpful. She seemed to be the only staff member on and had a lot going on but she managed it well and did a great job.

We had a cozy one bedroom apartment with scenic views of the city. This hotel benefits from centra location and that’s about the only good thing here. Interiors are outdated and tacky. No provisions like dental kits or even a notepad. Service is good and prompt.

The location was hard to access and parking wasn’t available. Party groups in the apartment next to us woke us through the night and no one answered reception when trying to advise about the excessive noise. When advise the person on reception in the morning their response was indifferent with no show of empathy for the poorly behaved guests in the hotel.

Even though I chose to stay at the mantra I did not receive any loyalty points as I had work book my accommodation, I could have chosen any hotel but I chose the mantra and received nothing for it

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were all flat. The hotels wifi was weak and kept disconnecting. Wonderful views of the city and a good sized apartment.

It was close to the quarantine hotel I had just vacated, short walk, pleasant service. The vacant room next door had the welcome music on the television too loud so I got to listen to that throughout the night. The $50 deposit placed on a credit card has not been released, four days after my stay. One could say I am most displeased with this.

I apologise funds are still holding on your card. This is always dependant on your bank - with regards to release times. We usually release the amounts 2 days after the stay has concluded, but after this time its still up to your bank on how fast this processes back to you. We had a two night stay in a one bedroom apartment that was on the top floor with terrific views. The room was spotless and had all the necessary facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful with local directions etc. The hotel is in a good location, a short walk to the river and an easy walk to the Queen Street Mall.

Many aspects of the Mantra on Queen are very good in this Covid time when travel is difficult, however the lack of restaurant facilities in the establishment was not noticed because of the high quality of nearby places to eat. As they say location, location, location. The one word of annpyance however was the actual address of the Mantra on Queen. When driving to the hotel you expect the address given to you was actually where you could drive a car. The car entrance, indeed the front of the Hotel is not actually on Queen Street. An entrance is but not if you're arriving by car, whether personal or taxi etc. The real address is Perry Street if you want to park overnight or indeed alight from the car that brings you. The Queen street access actually a no stopping zone (clearway) from 2-7 pm. When you then from a safe location try to contact the hotel to ascertain the location and entrance you will be given a merry-go-round of annoying telephone tag as you go round and round in circles trying to reacha human you can answer you question - 'where the bloody hell are you?'. But apart from that the room we were allocated, an apartment was all we could have hoped for, for our overnight stay celebrating Bastille Day. Again however there was exception which was not the Hotel's fault but rather a design fault on the mixer unit of the shower/bath combination, but that's probably just being picky, expecting that someone would have designed something functionally before considering the aesthetics of appearance.
