the room was very ordinary, no minibar or anything, only one very small container of milk. The beds only had sheets and when looking for blankets, there was only one very thin blanket for each single bed. The shower was hard to operate and not easy to access, definitely not accessible for an older person. The curtains only just covered the windows which allowed for light to enter the room at sunrise and found myself pulling the thin blanket over my face in the hope to go back to sleep.

As I catch up my friends near the story bridge, location is good for me. Not too far away from central station too. Woolworth was right next to accommodation. Bathroom was very small. But room was okay size for a couple. The bed was comfy too.

Hotel was in a good location close to the Riverside Pier for eating spots. But disappointed that the hotel bistro wasn’t open even for breakfastIt was good value for money but a little old car park very difficult if you have a large vehicle

I was really disappointed with the person at the service desk who checked me in who thought it was appropriate to spend over 5 minutes ranting to me about the COVID-19 pandemic and current lockdown measures. What they were saying was completely inappropriate — I flagged that I was from Victoria and kindly mentioned that I did not wish to hear this after experiencing the pandemic so heavily over the last 2 years. I understand that everyone is entitled to their views, however I think it it utterly unprofessional to communicate those views whilst representing an business, particularly one that is diligently promoting following health advice within their own establishment for the well-being of all. I will have to think twice about staying at the Mantra again. It left and very bitter taste in my mouth and marred the beginning of my trip.

Great reception and customer service

They stay was great with customer service and reception being the best part. The pool, spa and sauna weren’t very clean with cigarette buts floating in the water which was disappointing. The car park was also highly dangerous with very small amounts of space with giant poles and bollards making it difficult to manoeuvre around.

Had a wonderful time once again as l stayed last year in room 2906 as same this time. Fantastic prices and Mathew from reception could not have been more helpful when you first walk in and be greeted by him, he makes your stay special well done Mathew for being our first point of call and making our stay a memorable one.

Rooms did not have a view as told they would. Noise from room next to our until 3am. Complained to desk at 6pm - nothing done. No housekeeping service- desk advised that they were running late at 3 pm but no one came. Not a good experience after been an Accor member for 10 years.

Receptionist was very helpful, room clean except bathroom had mould around bathtub big comfortable bed, quality towels and sheets. Receptionist warned me about "very tight parking". It was the worst I have ever experienced. Each pillar has deep gouges from accidents.

Great location

Room is quite small but tidy, bed and pillow were okay. The car park is awful as super narrow driveway and not enough room for turning for long vehicles, was so scared to scratch my car while driving in and out the car park, as you can see so many scratch marks along the wall… Stay during Xmas holiday period, one only staff there to look after reception, in house guests’ requests, and online inquiries which is not enough. I’m a Accor Plus Silver member but I had to wait for 10 mins to check out as the reception was unattended and the phone call can’t get through to anyone just keep going in circles with auto voice recordings. There was another lady wanted to check in, and she was angry about there’s no one at the reception. I can understand during holiday, businesses want to save operating cost but one staff for all was really a bit ridiculous.

Overnighter in Brisbane CBD

If you're heading for a night out at Eagle Street Pier or Howard's Smith Wharf it's a great location. The rooms are a little tired now and in need of a revamp. Charlotte who checked us in was a little ray of sunshine 🌞

Many aspects of the Mantra on Queen are very good in this Covid time when travel is difficult, however the lack of restaurant facilities in the establishment was not noticed because of the high quality of nearby places to eat. As they say location, location, location. The one word of annpyance however was the actual address of the Mantra on Queen. When driving to the hotel you expect the address given to you was actually where you could drive a car. The car entrance, indeed the front of the Hotel is not actually on Queen Street. An entrance is but not if you're arriving by car, whether personal or taxi etc. The real address is Perry Street if you want to park overnight or indeed alight from the car that brings you. The Queen street access actually a no stopping zone (clearway) from 2-7 pm. When you then from a safe location try to contact the hotel to ascertain the location and entrance you will be given a merry-go-round of annoying telephone tag as you go round and round in circles trying to reacha human you can answer you question - 'where the bloody hell are you?'. But apart from that the room we were allocated, an apartment was all we could have hoped for, for our overnight stay celebrating Bastille Day. Again however there was exception which was not the Hotel's fault but rather a design fault on the mixer unit of the shower/bath combination, but that's probably just being picky, expecting that someone would have designed something functionally before considering the aesthetics of appearance.
