Great location, but biggest negatives/disappointments were - cleanliness of pool, internet was ridiculously slow, buffet breakfast was ordinary, rooms need to be refurbished (furniture in my room was a bit tatty) All staff were friendly except for 1 lady in Dining & was in cocktail bar 1 morning setting up

After a run of bad luck with holidays Peppers really came through for my wife and I. We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly, the facilities were all kept neat and clean. We were fortunate enough to get a feee room upgrade as well. We are very grateful for our stay at this hotel and look forward to returning.

Very outdated. We payed just under 8000 for 14 nights in a 1 bedroom resort. A 3 star maximum resort. We would definitely not return.

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had a garden room at the back which was lovely and private and away from the noise of the pool. The apartment was a great size and had everything we needed. I wasn’t expecting daily housekeeping so that was a bonus as well. The staff were lovely and doing the best to keep up as the hotel looked like it was fully booked. I loved having a choice of swimming pools or shuffling across the road to the beach. The only negative experience was the food quality at the hotel breakfast which for the money was way below average. I would recommend that if you had enough staff that you had eggs cooked as people needed. Apart from that we will be looking at rebooking this year for sure.

Room was nice, spa bath on balcony. But on 3rd floor and no lifts! It was really busy and staff were struggling with demand (especially pool bar staff).

Nice place, shame about frogs and staff

Overall we loved the hotel. Although it is a bit dated, the pools were great. There were 4 things though that should be improved 1) the noise from the frogs was unbearable. We had many sleepless nights. 2) a staff member kicked us out of the pool at 9:30. He was aware that the sign said the pool was open until 10 but didn’t agree with it. The bigger issue was he was extremely rude about it. 3) each day becomes a battle to try to get a sun bed. Why not put more out and find ways to manage them better. Most people just leave their towels in the morning and walk away. 4) young kids jumping off the rocks into the serenity pool.

Rooms are brilliant / modern, quiet, cool with everything you need - it was great having daily servicing of the rooms and a pod coffee machine. Pool areas are awesome and swim up bar is a great feature - prices were fairly reasonable including a nice value happy hour. The wi fi is substandard and you can not stream anything or really use the internet - mobile reception is also not great in the rooms meaning you are stuck with the TV and some limited Austar channels. Probably would not recommend getting buffet brekky if staying for a few days as it does not change and there was v limited fruit available.

We arrived at the hotel before check in at 2pm so went off and were told we would receive a call when room was ready. A lovely called us telling us we could check in, upon speaking to service desk staff we had been advised our room had been given to another couple with same surname so waited for them to leave the room and have it cleaned. Finally arriving to our room we found the toilet kept running when flushed and were placed in room at the very back in building 6 overlooking a road and tennis court so then called reception requesting to be moved. Staff kindly found us a much more suitable room overlooking the main pool and toilet had no issues. We were really disappointed that the resort did not have the "la Mesa' restaurant open and also did not offer in room dining service. Instead we spent the next few hours walking up the main street trying to find somewhere to have some dinner however everything was full. Instead of having a sleep in on our holiday we found ourselves waking up early everydayt to get a lounge chair as everyone seems to put their towels on them and there clearly is not enough chairs or towels available for in house guests. We noticed there were several other people not staying in the resort using the facilities which was frustrating not only to us but other guests. We understand since the pandemic there are staff shortages however the staff at the pool bar taking food and drink orders forgot our lunch by the pool and 2 hours later after saying something it finally appeared. Most of the staff by the pool are never smiling and you feel guilty for ordering for a $22 cocktail plus a public holiday surcharge and credit card surcharge. Finally the buffet breakfast on offer was dismal and disappointing to say the least, I would rather be charged more for a half decent a la carte breakfast as the hot items were not appealing or tasty and either stale, cold or dry. We were really excited to stay at Peppers Palm Cove as have stayed at sister property in Port Douglas in the past and loved it however were so let down by the overall experience.
