Amazing views over the lake and mountains

Plu B Families - TripAdvisor review

Well appointed apartment, very spacious, modern and spectacular views over the lake at Queenstown and the mountains. The rooms were very clean and everything functioned well. Service from team members was always very friendly and helpful.

Room was adjoined with internal door. We could hear the people from the next room. We requested a move but the hotel was full. The balcony was filthy dirty. And the room was dark and dingy. We were celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary and end up moving to the Sofitel after 1 night. The manger agreed to the refund for two night and I have been charged. I understand the staff issues but have never exp this level In all my stays at Accor.

We stayed for 3 nights in a hotel room. For almost $1000 NZD for 3 nights, the only thing you're paying for is the location. Otherwise, the room was small, run down and not worth the price. The in room information stated that there was a sauna and fitness centre, we searched for this but found out it has closed down. We didn't get fresh towels or a room service once! The only thing we were satisfied with is the location being that it is a short walk to town.

I called the hotel before booking because I had a specific need and purpose [family wedding]. I did not get the 'penthouse' I enquired about and/or booked. After check-in when I saw the room I was advised at reception "there is nothing we can do". The rooms were dirty, visible mold in the showers and bathroom, a shower door had been removed from the shower and water went everywhere in the bathroom, fan outside the main bedroom went all day and night keeping us awake, and no reading lamp or side table in the bedroom, asked about late check-out [11:00 am] and told 10:00 am is the check-out time - I am a very loyal platinum member ad asked for the room detail to be checked and was 'granted' a 11:00 am check-out, all the lobbies were dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned for weeks, the gas fire had a know missing and the fire turned off every 2 hours or so - without the knob we didn't know how to regulate it so had to leave it for 5 minutes and turn it back on, no closet in downstairs bedrooms only a tiny cupboard that did not fit a coat, the chopping boards were disgustingly dirty and had to be scrubbed clean before use, laundry and rubbish bags were left outside our room for almost our entire stay [removed on the last day]. In our family, we have a travel policy "Never stay anywhere worse than where you live." On this trip, we seriously breached that policy. I am extremely disappointed with how we as very loyal platinum members have been treated and presented with a standard of the room we never booked nor expected given the price. By the way - at check out there was no opportunity to convey any of the above, reception was busy the person at the desk took our key and said you are all set to go and never asked about our stay - it was 11:00 am and reception was full of people checking out! I am seriously questioning why I should remain an Accor member given that platinum status is obviously of no value.
