I paid $500.00 per night for a 2brm, I thought it would have 2bathrooms for the price. The tap in the bathroom sink did not work- it continued to fall off. There is 1 small mirror in the bathroom... no other mirrors in the whole villa. The down stairs room had a bright shinning light through the blinds all night- like head lights shining at you. We called reception the next morning - who were already aware that there was a problem with that villa. You would think it would have been rectified? It was a terrible nights sleep. We were given sheets The next day to fix the windows ourselves. Very disappointed. In the kitchen- I understand the tub situation. However- there were only 3 mugs, No sharp knives at all. It was very difficult to cut a tomato. No bottle opener. I could not open a bottle of tonic water or beer. There was very minimal kitchen items. The cupboards were bare. Very few bowls/plates 3 knifes No chopping boards/ platter boards. No larger bowls for salad/chips. The internet was slow and terrible. We tried to get my Netflix to sign into your tv. It is still loading! We called reception, the staff member told us to log on using our own Netflix. We couldn’t load anything due to the slow system. We were looking forward to watching a few movies by the fire with no kids around - we couldn’t get anything to work. The reception was very unhelpful. The day before I called to adjust the guests from 4 to 2 and requested if we could move to a 1brm, which was not an option. I asked if the price could be adjusted to what was showing on your website. This was possible. I ended up paying $886.00 for 2 nights, which was still very over priced. I was expecting a much higher standard which included simple things like kitchen ware. I regularly stay at pepper properties in NSW and Queensland. This standard does not compare. When you are paying a premium price I expect the simple items in a villa, taps to work and to rectify situations that staff are already aware of. The hotel was extremely quiet, this is why I am really upset with our stay. It doesn’t take a lot to fix the simple things and make your stay comfortable. I was hoping to bring my family back to your property soon, because our family loves Pepper properties. I won’t be coming back.

The room was fantastic, unfortunately the the kitchen cupboards were not clean properly which was very noticeable which them prompted me to clean a lot of the services of the room myself. Bath and shower were very clean. Thanks for a great stay.

Booked this hotel due to being an Accor Plus member. We love to enjoy Accor Dining Benefits when we stay, with the added benefit of Hotel Facilities which appealed to us at this resort. Chose a 7 day No Cost Cancellation policy. No notice was given, during booking, about Hotel facilities and dining being closed. Full cost deducted from credit card 7 days prior to stay (plus $36 credit card charge). Then one day later, we receive the letter stating that all hotel facilities (dining and pools) were closed. Called up and was strongly informed that we paid for room only, so we were getting what we paid for. We questioned why the full amount was deducted from credit card, and asked why the information was provided immediately after the deduction was made (They missed the point about why we stay at Accor properties). Felt pressure that there was no ability to get refunded. Received another phone call on the day prior to our stay, where the person specified that we had bought the 'room only' rate, so there should be no problems with our booking, and reminded us that all facilities were closed. Again, no concept about why we actually book Accor properties. During these two discussions, we were not informed that there would be no servicing of rooms at all. This is an expected service with Accor properties, and again, we should have received that information at time of booking, or as soon as it was decided. Note that I have stayed at many other hotels during the covid period, and most still service the rooms, so I don't consider Covid as a satisfactory excuse for that. Upon arrival at our room, we were pleased to receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. Was this in place of the drink vouchers that are part of our membership? We were then horrified to open the fridge, and pull out an old Pizza Box, complete with two pieces of somebody's left over stale pizza, as well as two half-empty soft drink bottles. Reception operating hours also changed without us being informed. A pleasant room, but a very disappointing stay, especially at the start. Although a friendly greeting, the service was not up to expected Accor welcoming standards. I have provided feedback on all of my Accor stays and 95% of them have always been positive, so it hurts me to do this.

The overall stay at Peppers was quite good, despite the COVID 19 situation. The villa was spacious and welcoming. The bedding was devine and the hot tub looked fantastic. The staff welcomed us but due to restrictions we didn't get to sample the resort in full. I will definitely go back when this situation is all over. The only problem was we reported a fault with the spa and had to access the fuse box to turn off power to it. This was not resolved through out our stay, even though we were told someone would come and look at it. Having a full kitchen was great. Can't wait to try the resort facilities next time.

I understand the Covid Situation, however I don't believe you should rip off your guests by charging extortionate rates when there is not one facility available to the guest. I booked a villa with the understanding that we would have a lovely 2 night stay in a lovely spa hotel and book some massages. Having tried to book a massage and being told to I had a slot but then I was too late I couldn't get a slot was not great and it was only then that I was also advised that the restaurant would be closed. I was never told that we would also be unable to use any of the other hotel facilities, nor would we receive any housekeeping services. I was given a few teabags on arrival and did not receive anything else from the hotel for the rest of the time we were there. In addition to this, the wifi did not work the entire time we were there and when mentioning this to the front office, I was told it wasn't working very well. Had I known this was the situation at the hotel, I would have booked a lovely room at The Farmers Arms for $250 rather than a $915 room at Peppers. Really disappointed.

High Price for Limited Services

I'm very aware that hotels are not able to deliver the same services that they would normally due to the Covid19 restrictions, but I had thought your hotel would make some small gesture to make up for this loss. For example, we are Gold members and would normally receive welcome drink vouchers on arrival. We appreciate that your bar and restaurant is closed but had thought a replacement welcome would be given. We paid $345 for a room without any guest services, a handful of cheap tea and coffee satchels and unfortunately a lot of noise from the road and (we think) the air conditioning plumbing. Your reception staff member was warm and welcoming and the spa staff delivered excellent service given the difficult circumstances.

I have nothing to compare my current stay pre Covid-19 at Peppers Hepburn Springs, but there were a few things lacking with my current stay due to not being able to stay in the Heritage Building. The courtesy email regarding not being able to stay in original booked accommodation in Gatsby room was a great idea. The upgrade to the one bedroom spa suite was also appreciated. However, no tea/coffee in room and no housekeeping during stay, perhaps room rate should reflect this? I mentioned the tea/coffee at check out & it was apparently a lapse at check in. The housekeeping situation was explained on check in

Arrived and then had to change rooms as shower was non stop dripping very noisy. Rooms look dated. Lack of heating in bathrooms. No tea or coffee so had to buy from supermarket onlt to find out we were not provided on arrival. Then internet was not working. Later rectified by manager. Overall very unhappy and will not return. Overpriced. My stay at the Farmers Arms was significantly better in comparison.

We didn't really think the room was worth $299 for the night and definitely not worth the higher rate for weekends. Overall was a little disappointed with the room as it appeared far better in the pictures.

We found the setting quite beautiful & just a short drive to Daylesford which suited us . It was a shame the comfy shared areas were closed due to covid as they looked so cosy & relaxing. Also no F&B which we had been informed about so not really the whole Peppers experience. Our room was quite basic but a large size with very comfortable beds & high quality bedding . Due for a renovation & styling I would think .
