Appreciated reception staff arranging an early check in after our early arrival by train. A comfortable stay overall. One negative was the split system air conditioner was completely clogged with dust, so had not been cleaned/serviced for a good while. Maybe a good idea to twice yearly have a clean of all units. This would certainly maintain service life and would assist with fresh air in the rooms. One positive was we had a sliding door onto the balcony we could utilise. We would stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff on arrival, very comfortable furniture and bed, huge suite - didn't feel cramped at all, good gym and pool, will stay here again.

Good stay, very nice rooms and view over the suburb

We love this hotel because of the high ceiling rooms and exposed concrete and furnishing plus the 50 mtre pool. Things have changed since we were there last, there is no more restaurant downstairs therefore no room service and food easily accessible, something to keep in mind on arrival so you don't get dissappointed. Also to keep in mind, the pool is not heated, so pretty cool in winter.

The Johnson is situated on the outskirts of Brisbane city. Nothing particularly interesting in the vicinity. The staff were excellent and the rooms were clean. However, the phone system wasn’t working, there is no on-site dining options (even though I was asked if I wanted breakfast included in my room rate), the pool wasn’t heated and you can only get free-to-air on the tv. No chromecast or alternative option. Given the hotel is 4-star… I would expect the abovementioned to be a given.
