Great stay. Looked after so well even with the Covid 19 restaurant closures. Managed to get a delicious take away breakfast and dinner.

Great for Hospital Stay

We stayed during commencement of Corona virus restrictions. The hotel kept us well informed and helped me with every aspect concerning my hospital stay for surgery including assisting with late checkout due to flight change so I could rest before the flight. Beds super comfy as usual and perfect even for major shoulder surgery. The only minor thing I did not like was on my booking request I had asked for a room away from the lift, the room assigned to us was very close to access door, very noisy with all foot traffic having to go past. I had made my request so that I would have a quiet room post surgical. On the second day of our stay we requested a room change which was granted and we moved all our things to the new room. New room so much quieter and close to the end of the corridor, much better. Would have been easier to have this in check in.

Excellent front desk and Tumblestone cafe staff. The room was always clean and tidy and a broken ironing board replaced immediately it was notified.

We have stayed at The Johnson a couple of times and love the hotel. The rooms are well priced are large, it has a great pool and good sized gym, and is close to the city. The stay started well with an early check in. Unfortunately this time I was in the pool when a child did a number 2, and the staff did not know how to handle it. We were left no towels after a room clean and it took two visits to the front desk to get them sent up. The Wifi did not work most of the weekend, which is not a good look in this day and age. Despite these things I would stay at the hotel again, although I do hope that the staff are a little more on top of things.

Staff were friendly, helpful. The room was well designed and excellent with everything advertised present and in great order. Lighting options in the room were excellent The associated restaurant was good, well-priced with helpful staff. One point was deducted because there was no hot chocolate mix in the free tea and sugar which I simply thought was a bit mean.

stayed through luxury escapes good location ridiculous having to pay $30/day for parking when you are already staying at the hotel, cannot see how that is acceptable. parked on the street for free good size room room had very strange smell, almost like dirty nappy, as soon as we entered. Though room was clean. Maybe old smell from there previously staff helpful, breakfast very nice terrible view from room overlooking carpark definitely not luxury

Lovely hotel, fantastic rooms. Let down badly by poor front desk customer service and an out of action pool. For the record (and the knowledge of your people) the pool at your sister hotel is not heated despite what they might believe. It is freezing. Ruined a chunk of one of our days.
