We had a nice stay at the Olsen. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Our view wasn’t very nice and we could hear the elevator (and people in it) which woke us up in the morning, that was the only annoying thing. The pool wasn’t overly warm so I only lasted 1 minute in it. Other than that we had a great time.

Before covid whenever in Melb we stayed w you. It was great. This time …I’m speechless. We requested 1 room, 2 separate beds, walk in shower (mother elderly). We had 3 room changes to get it right. Breakfast came to room - stone cold. The room was made up the 1st day. The same day rang for a menu for room service. NO TOILET PAPER. I rang that evening around 11pm as that is when we returned. It was as IF I WOKE YOUR EMPLOYEE AND inconvenienced her. She did not bring it. I HAD to ring AGAIN. That same day rang for a menu - room service. HAD TO RING TWICEto receive it. 2nd day breakfast at spoon & Bill. The waitress was reluctant to go to the chef to find out what was GF. Her reply I think you can have fruit salad! I spoke to the chef. I then placed an order with the same waitress. I ordered eggs and toast etc GF (as I’m coeliac). Her reply ‘but it comes w eggs do you still want it’. A waitress who had NO IDEA of what coeliac or GF meant. Everything was I. The end solved but YOUR employees standard answer was SORRY, complimentary drink with everything. We basically DONT DRINK. You also kindly gave us free room service and paid for dinner BUT oddly you charged the $100 Bar fridge room fee. Interesting. Was it an error or did you think 2 stupid females they won’t notice. We did. Really disappointing. AND WE REALLY ENJOYED STAYING AT THE OLSEN BEFORE COVID.

An excellent location but I was not happy with the condition of our room. The aircon was loud and rattling (I spoke to the reception but nothing was done) and 1 bathroom smelt of mould
