I feel like we pay a lot of money to stay and to have to take out your own rubbish and wash your own dishes is a bit much when we are packing to leave. Also we aren’t able to access more towels? The staff weren’t helpful when we had missing items.

This is our second girls trip staying in a 3 bedroom apartment at Mantra Towers of Chevron. The apartments are spacious & have great amenities (2 bathrooms, resourced kitchen etc). There was an issue with a leaking toilet & it was addressed promptly by maintenance. It's in a great location, with everything you need in the shopping centre below & everting in Surfers Paradise is within walking distance, it's also centrally located to get Broadbeach, the Casino & Pacific fair in one direction & Main Beach in the other direction.

Great location, room was needing maintenance

Great location, lock out times of 10pm is a bit of a pain When staying with multiple groups in different times and not being able to access pool area to cut through towers. Room we stayed in needed some TLC - bathroom shower head was almost falling off and no handle on shower door. Mentioned to reception, had a note to say glazier was coming to look at door - nothing fixed for shower head so had very little water pressure in showers as it was shooting out the top.

Great location! Being so close to amenities was a huge reason we decided to stay here. Although it will be our last stay here, rooms are very tired! No toaster or kettle in our room. Curtains fell from ceiling when closing them at night. The rooms desperately need a makeover.

Very bad experience as I’m a regular, had someone know on our room door 3 times and try open the door by force, called security and reception and was told could of been another guest by accident. Not happy as my kids were terrified and last night door was Jamed and some1 tried to open by force and had our room changed.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and a well presented reception area. Our room in tower 1 was spacious, clean and well equipped. The resort facilities were fantastic and the location was perfect, being a short walk to shops, restaurants, beach and public transport.

Room was lovely and clean. Beds were comfortable and amenities were fantastic however the service was horrible stayed at this hotel Six times including this stay and I never felt like a criminal by this establishment until this last visit. This place needs to come into the 21 Century and realise that people do online and virtual banking using tap and go and cardless transactions and don’t carry cash anymore. Change with the times. Will never stay here again

Definitely going downhill

I have stayed in average hotels previously but you expect it for the price. For what was charged for the three nights that I stayed it was extremely underwhelming. I have stayed in these apartments on many occasions, this trip was the most I have ever paid to stay here (it was a holiday weekend) and by far the most disappointing. It would appear that the prices had increased as the standards have decreased. The room was tired and worn, with cracks on the walls and chipped paint and laminate. I paid extra to ensure a bathtub was included, which proved useless as I could not be provided a plug for the bath. The security deposit has increased from. $200 to $300 a since I stayed there only a few months ago and despite checking out 6 days ago it has yet to be returned to me (although they managed to take it out of my account between me leaving reception and reaching my room). Sadly, this has gone for being my #1 choice to stay on the Gold Coast to being somewhere that I’m not sure I’d stay again.

No more Mantra for us - could not wait to leave

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at a Mantra in the last 6 months and have had issues with cleanliness and hygiene each time. This was the worst. Dirty, smelly, run down and broken. Firstly as a interstate trip I had to rebook our accomodation 4 times due to lock downs. This was the 4th Mantra on Gold Coast I booked as prices/availability changed each time. On booking I sent request for early check-in and never heard back and then again emailed in the days leading up to our stay and again did not get a reply. This concerned me and on our arrival our room was not ready and when I asked if they had received my email's I was told 'we get so many emails I don't know'. I was told the cleaners were in the room and as it was a 3 bed apartment it would take at least an hour to clean - I told them not to hurry the cleaners as I wanted the room properly cleaned. At this time I also asked about a room upgrade as under our membership conditions we are meant to be upgraded if the room is available. I knew the next level of room was available for our stay as I had just checked on the companies online booking app but was told no rooms available and when I told them I know a room was available I was told oh well we will call you when the cleaners are done. 30minutes later we received the call to say the room was ready. On entering the room it smelled of bleach but only the bathrooms clean. Floor felt gritty and had sand, dirt and food near couches, microwave and oven covered in dirty finger prints, kitchen table and chairs dirty, one chair had a big dried red patch we are hoping was sauce not blood, one bedroom had a pile of cut fingernails on the floor in front of beside table, walls and skirting dirty and with food marks, couches stank a bit like vomit, bedside lamp shades broken and cracked , dishwasher did not properly work, ensuite bathroom sink cracked, fridge/freezer door had food splatter, mattresses yellow and discoloured, at the lagoon pool a raw egg had been dropped and broken on the ground of the seating area and not cleaned up even though maintenance man had seen it. If this apartment was clean it still would have been disappointing. It was bare and without any homely touches. Only the essentials - table, couch, bed. No personality at all. Usually I would complain very loudly but after previous complaints falling on deaf ears at the Mantra and the obvious disinterest of the staff I purchased some cleaning supplies and cleaned what I could myself.

arrived and was initially impressed with service. Room had great views and was clean and tidy. we were in Tower 2 and had a few issues with fob keys arriving back and couldnt get into building. My biggest complaint was not that our dryer didnt work but the lack of communication about it. I advised the staff that dyer was not working and we had just completed a load of washing We would be out for the day could they attend to it. Got home nothing done, rang service desk and queried it, Was advised they would contact me back never did. Next day asked to speak to duty manager told not available. A maintenance man did attend said it was broken and would need replacing. Never done whilst we were there . Communication was extremely poor and whilst we enjoyed stay the lack of communication annoyed me.
