The room is clean and overall hotel is very new. It is located at a convenient location with mall and eateries nearby. The only regret is that the hotel does not have smoking rooms.

« good location. Just that the lift access card is of no use for security purpose. Anyone can just walk up the staircase to any floor without requiring a guest access card. Please look into having access card for the doors leading to staircase »

« Great stay at the Novotel Chiang Mai »

The Novotel is located close to the Maya shopping centre just of the main road to the old city. It’s a short walk to two market places where you can enjoy local cuisine and cheap beer at the closest. Excursions can be booked from the hotel as can taxis to the airport. The hotel has a rooftop pool and a well presented restaurant. Our room was modern but no storage space so you live out of your suitcase.

Overall, a good experience. Room seems a bit small for 2 people, the open concept of shower/toilets is somewhat odd. Breakfast was ok, not much option if you are into "western style". Customer service superb, location next to Maya mall and shops very helpful

I stay for eight days , more than my expected. I booked with Balcony on high floor, quite acceptable for me , although under the plane path, the bar nearby but the sound protection is ok for me. The restaurant services is excellent, the staffs very nice and professional, food is good.

« Far from usual Accor standards about services »

Rooms are comfortable, that's the only good point. You can admire (and enjoy the sound) of each aircraft taking off from airport. The pick up shuttle from airport never arrived so I finally took taxi, and there's an overpriced car to send you back to airport in the morning. (400baht when nomal is 150), and display price in the lobby is 200. The problem is not the price, it's the principle and efficiency of the service. The breakfast also is very so-so. No upgrade even I'm gold member.

« Excellent staff all round but hampered with severe noise from fellow tourists! »

Excellent guest service by Julie at front desk, and essentially everyone on duty. They all did their very best to make my stay pleasant and stress-free. Breakfast was good for Novotel's standard in Thailand. Hotel is generally kept very clean, despite the inconsiderate guests. Unfortunately, there were just too many PRC tourists in the hotel. They were terribly loud, noisy, and inconsiderate. They shoved and pushed at the breakfast area, talked at the top of their lungs, inappropriately dressed while using the fitness centre, littered and pushed their way around.

I checked in late at night, at reception the reservation had prepared. Room was clean and equipped with adequate facilities. Breakfast was variety, mostly Thai menu but nice taste.
