There is a huge lack of hygiene in the breakfast restaurant. All guests are making their own coffee, opening bottles and bringing juices to their tables, but there are no possibility to clean hands. Not a single hand sanitizer was to find inside the restaurant. Only one stand is placed outside the venue. I talked to one of the waiters about it, she assured me that there is an thorough cleaning of the areas. But that morning as well as the following mornings no one cleaned the area while we were there, and a lots of guests were usimg the stations. The solution is obvious, hand sanitizers near the coffee makers, juice station and water cooler. I addressed it to the reception who appologised and mailed my concern to the management. I didnt hear further and no improvement were made in order to secure the guest. I think the Accor ALLSAFE program failed big time in this matter, and have already decided that Accor because of that will not be the choise for my upcoming business trips.

Beautiful venue, but underwhelming service: no bathrobe in the room (Junior suite), average breakfast offer.

We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. At the moment we removed the bathrobe from the rooms because of hygienic reasons. Futhermore our Fitness and Wellness Area is closed. If you need a bathrobe, please contact our reception, we would love to bring one to the room. Thank you for the advice with the windows, we will check this immediatly. Due to Corona we had to change our brakefast services a bit. Instad of a buffet you can pick your brakefast by yourself an we will cook some fried eggs or scrumbeld eggs with bacon on demand. Of course we offer also differnt cold cuts, yoghurt and sweet spread. We regred that the services provided have not met your expectations. Strategic location near the university

It was a very nice stay overall: the room was always cleaned. The hotel itself is a historical site. It was important for me that the hotel was close to the university, I was participating in the conference that was happening there. However, I was not informed beforehand that I needed a letter from my employer stating that I am in Hamburg on business travel in order to be exempt from the tourist tax. The information was given to me on Friday evening and I was to be departing for Hamburg on Monday. Luckily, I managed to get the document on time. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told me to send the letter to a wrong e-mail and then I had to resend it on the day of the check out. It is a minor inconvenience; however, I would like such things not to happen in the future. Good luck and stay safe!

Selected hotel for a private trip. Well located next to S-Bahn and Subway. Park surrounding. Room on the upper floors, great view over Hamburg. Room setup perfect. Cool Cave Bar. Very friendly serice at the bar but also at the reception desk. Felt at home.

for Hamburg Messe - perfectly located, nice historic building with some charme

Good stay, nice and stylish hotel. Historic Building in the Schanzenviertel but still quite during the night. Only negativ experience was during checking out procedure which was rather unflexible: stay was booked w/o breakfast, guest did not have breakfast, check out was not able to change the rate and deduct the breakfast from bill. It took guest quite some time and Mövenpick to call for the local CFO to find a solution here. As a business traveller I would expect a more pragmatic approach from the front desk staff.

Bad bed in a nice Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff, also in the restaurant. The room is good but the mattress in the bed is bad. I slept in the middle, on the hill (where the mattress still is normal) between the valleys of where couples have been sleeping. The desk is also good but the chair is terrible, the legs are bent. Big plus for the safe where a 15,6 inch laptop fits in (if you turn it 90 degrees while putting it in). In most hotels the safe is just 1 cm to small for a 15,6 inch laptop. It is quiet and one can get a good night sleep. The bathroom is also good. A radiator to hang and dry the towels would be an additional plus. I will come again

The hotel really is as beautiful as on the website. Rooms are large and well equipped, beds are nice and everything is very clean. Great location with easy access to the city. The fitness facilities however, are a bit outdated.

Positive: Very nice hotel a real architectural monument. Magnificant view from 9th floor. Very good bed, nice and clean bathroom. Coffee facilities in room. Breakfast is prefect. Close by the U-bahn station. Points for improvement: The staff at the reception could be a bit more friendly: good morning, good night was never heard. The parking garage is quit expensive (25 euro per night). Parking outside is 15 euro per night but in my opinion not a real option with a foreign license plate, But overall we had a wonderfull stay at the Mövenpick.

What a terribly noise from the trains. Dirty windows, and one of them we could not even open. The shower equipment could not hold itself, so we had to hold it all the time when showering. Outside the hotel there were so dirty with paper, plastic and dogshit!!!
