Overpriced, ridiculously awful location, and a staff that knows about nothing. There was little to enjoy about an overpriced room with no amenities, almost no indication of COVID-related protocols, and staff that are happier to nickel-and-dime you and refuse to greet you with a smile let alone a hello or any other greeting. Definitely a trash place.

Location is great, but there's a lot of noise, no one cleaned our room in a five day stay (and we weren't told we had to actually BOOK a cleaning person).

Our experience at this hotel was simply "awkward." Fortunately we were there only two nights. From the moment we arrived with our rental car to the moment we left for the airport there was a complete lack of attention to standard hotel etiquette. When we arrived with our rental car, there were at least four other cars "stuck" in the small hotel horseshoe drive area. The gate/arm to the parking garage would not lift and there was no valet to give directions or signage directing guests where to park. My daughter had to go into the lobby and wait on the check in line - all the time I circled the crowded city block hoping I could find street parking. The check-in clerk eventually came out with a card key to the garage lift the arm so I could drive my car to the lower level to park. While the room was OK there were not enough towels and absolutely no linens for the pull out sofa. As I was directed during check in, I texted the front desk for extra pillows and sheets. I received a response to this text 12 hours later (in the morning) asking me if I still needed the sheets and pillows. While the hotel rooms were not filled with guests, the roof top pool and bar area were PACKED - not even standing room at 6PM. I was informed by a guest that most of the people at the pool/bar paid $25 for "day passes" which entitled them to free parking, a free drink, use of the pool/bar area and the gym. Huh? As a paying guest , I was charged $400+ for the room per day, $25 a day to park my car and no one offered me a free drink! Hoards of spring breakers from other locations in Miami were evidently taking advantage of the "day pass" deal while hotel guests suffered the consequences. As a final insult, after check-out as we were stuck in the underground garage. The parking lot arm does not automatically lift as a car exits so once again my daughter had to go into the lobby to find hotel staff to let us leave the hotel.

I stayed for almost two weeks in your hotel. Noone told me i have to explicitly schedule cleaning in my room. As a result it was performed only once during my two week stay and no essentials (shampoo, showering gel etc) refill. Absolutely unacceptable.

Customer service was horrible! We found bed bugs in room 704 and when we told the front desk employees they did not care. After that incident we were treated differently. I had a great experience in Miami but I will never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel room was dirty, shower was moldy, amenities were poorly kept and still somehow charged $500 per night.

stayed for two nights (friday/saturday). arrived early and had had no problem leaving our bags with the front desk (same for when we checked out sunday but didnt have a flight until later that evening). room was clean, bed was comfortable. gym/pool amenities were great. appreciated the level of care/security taken by staff at the pool to keep things fun but not let people go crazy. great location next to brickell and miami ave. bathroom design was good, usually nice/trendy hotels have weird layouts

If you ask my mother, myself and my daughter what we will remember from our 5 night stay at the Brikell Novotel in Miami in a few years, the answer would be: ‘weed’ how the hallways and the rooftop were impregnated with the smell of drugs (marijuana). We even asked for a vacuum and couldn’t use because of the smell... this whole situation flared my asthma and triggered my daughter who had addiction issued in the past. Horrible experience and stay. I asked for a refund and wasn’t given a call back. I still expect a conmensurable refund.

I've stayed before many times for work in the hotel, and everything used to be impeccable. This time hallways were dirty, trash all the time, and it was such a struggle to have my room cleaned even if I was staying two weeks. People at reception told us rooms are not cleaned for “safety,” But honestly, It seemed like A poor Excuse for An understaffed hotel. Hallways smelled like weed 24/7. I would try to call reception from my room, and the call went to a voicemail. So I ended up having to come to the front desk every time. It was a very exhausting stay.

They gave away my room and lied

They gave away my partial bay view room and then lied and said the electricity was out on that side of the building. They "upgraded" me to a suit with a view of the parking lot.

I recently sent an email but basically the service was not good and the hotel was not clean. The pool area was full of trash and no one was cleaning. The room was not clean when we arrived, make up Marks on the hair dryer, no water in the coffee machine, 1 bottle of water for two guests, 1 towel for 2 guests. Covid measures are more an excuse than something else. I have stayed in other hotels where you don’t have to request 3 times for your room to be made if you are outside. Breakfast is way too expensive to eat in a plastic container. You charge the same price as a buffet when it is clearly not. The hotel is beautiful but the service was clearly below a four star standard.

I had 2 rooms and experienced issues in both rooms one which had issues since I checked in. One of my rooms the fridge did not work and I lost out on food that I brought and tried to store in the fridge and went bad from not being the right temp they changed my fridge and still the same thing which was a complete inconvenience then my other room on my last night the lights went out and I only had power from the bathroom and the TV which was also another inconvenience when I was tryna get ready along wit my family to go out to dinner

we never got new towels. i had to ask every night for new towels. also, the design of the bathroom is cute but the worst functionality wise. the shower doesnt have a door at all. the toliet has a "door" (more of a panel) that doesnt lock or close. thatd be okay if the door (again, a slide panel) to the bathroom closed. it smelled so bad in our hotel room. and the public bathroom closes? i wont be staying in one of these hotels again.

Reaching hotel service was a disaster. Called multiple times from the room and no one would answer the phone EVER (no matter what time of day it was- morning afternoon and at night). Had to call six times over the span of two days to even get towels brought to our room. On the last night of stay, there was a random intoxicated girl going down our hallway banging on our door at 2 am and we were scared. We tried contacting the hotel SEVERAL times over our room’s phone and even tried to call reception from our cell phones to just get on the phone with SOMEONE to handle the situation. Finally after about 14 phone call attempts, someone answered the phone and cut me off to say security was coming up. The service was nothing short of rude and unreliable.

Some of the ppl at guest services wasn’t very nice. I believe one of them was the manager. When I text front desk for supplies like towels no response was returned. I actually had to find someone from housekeeping to help me.
