Clean, Modern Hotel in Quieter Area of Miami

The rooms were very clean and modern. It was a little chilly and we couldn't seem to get the temperature to come up. We enjoyed the modern, feminine color scheme in the shared spaces. The lobby was well decorated and clean and smelled amazing! We also enjoyed the pool area, the adorable bar/lounging areas, and the view from the 12th floor pool. Two things that could have been better: More lenieniency with parking during the check in process as it took longer than anticipated to check in and we were asked to move with no instruction on using the parking garage; Lower the music in the lobby right now while employees are wearing masks as well as the plexiglass - it is very hard to hear and that is no fault of the employee or customer during Covid with extra safety precautions.

Overall, the stay was OK, not excellent. The front desk staff was only marginally helpful. They were friendly but did not seem to have a strong grasp on policies or being able to make a decision. In general, No one ever answers a phone...in particular, the front desk and accounting. Very, very frustrating for business travelors.

The agent who checked us in was not friendly or welcoming at all. The survey I keep getting in my email says someone's name whom I don't know and for a date at which I did not stay at the hotel.

They are great at terrible service

From the moment we arrived at the Novotel the service was awful. It took us 40 min to check in and behind us there was a line of people waiting to check in. Their reservation system is also faulty, from what I could gather three different couples made three different reservations on their website and they were all wrong in their system. The bedding feels really cheap and the hotel rooms also feel cheap, it has a hospital feel. The policies they email you for you to read in advance do not match the policies they have at their front desk in terms of COVID policies, when I explained this to them they did not seem to care. Throughout the trip, anytime we approached the front desk they were unhelpful, it took them two days to get us toiletries to our room (after we requested them multiple times) and we never received the additional clean towels we requested on day one (we stayed for four nights). The air conditioning kept malfunctioning at night. The location is ok, but not enough to outshine how terrible this hotel is.

The hotel was beyond what we had expected. The lobby, restaurant, room, and rooftop pool helped make our stay in Miami memorable. The location was within walking distance of the bay and restaurants. The hotel restaurant was great and the staff was very helpful.

Horrible front desk service

Overall my experience at this hotel was good, however my check in experience was horrible. The man (glasses, dark hair, comb over) who checked me in was rude when I approached the desk. He had an attitude the entire time I spoke with him and he was short and snappy with his responses. He did not tell me about any of the hotel amenities, where my room was or where the elevators were. Overall, I received horrible customer service from him. Would not recommend! There’s so many better options in Miami

We recently stayed at the Novotel for a concert at the American Airlines Arena. The room was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was quite modern and spacious - a pleasant surprise. The service when we arrived by the valet was warm and welcoming - the gentleman who was working recognized us throughout our stay and made our stay special. The roof top pool is beautiful and yoga on the Sunday morning was a nice addition. The lobby is clean and bright. Location is great - walking distance to Brickell and South Miami Road and its restaurants and bars. We even walked back from the arena which was a 30 minute walk. Very central to the Brickell area and easy to navigate the neighborhood.

Typical Accor, a very nice hotel, with European breakfast and very friendly staff. I was lucky to get a room upgrade and could enjoy the view of the sea from the upper floors. The gym is well equipped and was not heavily frequented during the stay. The pool is a dream, unfortunately the weather didn't play along during our stay. Recommendation - via or lyft from the airport to the hotel.

Staff was pleasant and attentive. Too much perfume or deodorizer used in lobby. Doormen were excellent. Room could have been vacuumed better. Restaurant food was mediocre. Too much perfume or deodorizer in the front lobby.
