Booked a stay for a recent Chicago visit using some of my ALL points for a discount. Upon checkout I did not receive an invoice. After a day I contacted the hotel to have them send a copy of the invoice via their internal request program within their website. No response. After a few more hours I called the front desk at the hotel, requested my invoice and received several blank pages via various emails and finally one that had a dollar amount that was more or less correct but without the discount for the reward points. Additionally, the reservation number had been changed. This dollar amount was promptly charged to my credit card. I called back again & was assured that I'd be receiving a credit for the value of the rewards points applied to my credit card. Several hours later, I do not see any pending credit on my account. There seemed a significant amount of confusion by the front desk staff at this hotel. Sadly this is the first negative experience I've had at an ALL partner facility.

Our room was really nice with plenty of draws to place our clothes. Could use a little more hanging space for better suits and dresses. The 2 elevators were not quite enough to handle the guests especially after one went out of order. The art was welled displayed and Juli Lowe gave us a great guided tour of the works.

One day trip for Business, my travel agent found 21c, we walked thru the museum enjoyed the artwork, rooms were great.. but that Shower...OMG I wish I could have stayed and took another ,I actually said goodbye to it.. great place. I WILL RETURN

Hotel was nice along with staff. I do have an issue though I left my iPhone rapid phone charger and cord (which is orange color), plugged in next to the bed. Discovered that I left it there after arriving home in KY. Called the hotel and someone told me that they would check lost & found & get back to me. I offered to pay for postage. I didn’t hear from the hotel & asked again when replying to an email from 21c that contained a copy of the bill. Still haven’t heard back. With the cord being orange, I assume that someone cleaning the room would have noticed it. Maybe it is still plugged in in the room?? Im not real happy about not being notified 1 way or another about this as I’m 100% certain that the charger & cord did not leave the room with either my wife or myself. Other than this instance, the stay @ 21c was fine

21c Hotel is okay. It's no frills meaning that there is only a font desk person (after 10pm??) and a very strange security guard who looked like a punk terrorist with a red bandana face mask and blond man bun with motor cycle boots – very weird and off-putting to say the least. No one is in uniform so you are not sure who works there and who doesn't. There is no car valet so you must park around the corner which wasn't terrible and the "valets" who handled our bags once we asked, we're very nice and helpful. Room decor was perfect. Clean. Cleaning staff was super helpful but didn't have automatic service because of covid (which is most likely an excuse to not clean every room every day as no one cares about covid anymore in the US). Finally, the street noise is TERRIBLE. The windows should be double-glazed. Ontario sounded like a racetrack in the evenings.

Pro: Friendly staff, clean room, and good location. Con: While the interior is wonderfully designed, it is an older building with smaller elevators and longer wait times. Unfortunately the windows let every sound in and while I while it was fine for me since I was exhausted- light sleepers may see this as a negative.

I have had the pleasure of staying at 21c Museum Hotels in other cities. Wonderful hotels. This wasn’t at all my experience in Chicago. Shower was broken and despite repeated calls for maintenance, nothing improved and I had to shower With a clogged drain. One of the two elevators was broken so trips up and down sometimes took 10 minutes. And room wasn’t anywhere close to the quality of other 21c Museum hotels. Finally, it is absurd that regular housekeeping is still suspended.

Having stayed here on several occasions in its original incarnation (as The James), I was more than impressed at its transformation into the 21C - the artwork on display was simply incredible! Rooms are nice; the location is VERY LOUD but also very close to everything I was looking for.

Hotel is well located. Rooms are clean and spacious. Room was not ready when we arrived and we were not contacted when it was ready, as they told us we would be. Only 2 elevators which caused major delays at peak times. Front desk staff was not friendly.

Room was nice. Location was great. Elevator was down thus getting done to ground level would often take 20-25 min and no notice was posted about alternative options. Used the stairs one but the stairwell was dirty, poorly marked and exited to the street partially blocked by garbage.

I had such a wonderful stay at 21c museum. The staff was amazing! Especially Holly! She was so helpful and she remembered me throughout my entire stay, that was cool. This hotel is one of my favorites!

I did tons of research before choosing this hotel. I have stayed many 21c before staying at Chicago 21c. I called the front desk two nights before I arrived, I got the confirmation the pet fee was waived and I also found a confirmation from Chicago 21C’s website the pet fee was waived. When I checked in, the front desk staff rudely told me it was not( there was so many ways to say no, but they chose the rude and disrespectful tone!). I pulled my phone record and the 21c Chicago website, showed all the proof to the staff, they didn’t want to acknowledge the situation and continuously argued with me that I was wrong. They finally decided to waive the fee. Later on, the same staff saw me walking through the lobby, waived me down, and told me I was wrong AGAIN after waiving the fee. What kind of customer service is that? All the bad reviews about this hotel is related to their front desk, why Accor continues ignore those bad reviews? I completely understand this world is under-staffed, however, why would any customer should put up with such terrible service when they check in. I am still giving this place a four-star for their perfect location and convenient self-parking garage. Their room is clean! Accor and 21c, please hold your employees accountable or it will damage your brand.

Thank you 21c Museum Hotel for such a wonderful stay! The art in the lobby was so fantastic that I am still telling my friends that weren't able to go about it and that they have to check out the hotel the next time that they make it Chi-Town! Also thank you the Global Sales and on property sales for making my birthday weekend so very special! I made sure to buy my green penguin and he is now a permanent resident in my home so I can always look back and remember this truly fantastic weekend! Thank you 21c Chicago and I'll see you next time I am in Chicago!

Perfect location for exploring the city. The exemplary service of Tom the engineer is the reason for 5 stars. He came up immediately to check my TV which didn’t display, assessed the problem,and brought up a new TV which had arrived the day before. He was friendly, efficient, and professional—-outstanding service. My only criticism—-the dark, dreary hallways (at least on 11th floor).

Hotel is chic and clean. Booked using All points as partial payment but full amount was kept on hold at check in. Good thing I inquired at check out and was corrected then. Will probably stay closer to the river where nice bars and restaurants are next time around.
