Stayed for a staycation and throughly enjoy our experience. The suite and balcony were an amazing touch to spread out and relax. Walkable to everything we needed, the staff was so helpful and the room service food from Counting House was UNREAL. On top of that - there is a literal art gallery to walk through. A must stay.

My son and I stayed in the Penthouse suite. Not as elegant as what were use to but grew on us and became very cozy and comfortable. We had a few mishaps, but the staff was always there to reconcile the problems. They were attentive, courteous, kind and understanding. I have to name a few staff employees but I will do so later in the survey.

Well located, nice art, but there was no maid service per the winter storm and I made the reservation as it said FREE breakfast (thus justifying the high rates) and upon arrival they alerted me there was no breakfast; regardless of the fact that this is still state so online. I should be compensated for three days of breakfast for two people, which was $65 a day. Which I purchased at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is pretty enough and has a small gallery of art but has no lobby or gathering space. Bar and restaurant on extremely limited hours and locked up during the day. A small group of wedding guests tried to gather during a snow storm and finally found a small space with one small couch and one chair - temp in room was controlled by central control and never went above 60. The staff is accommodating and pleasant, but mostly new employee(a week or two) without hotel or local information.

I booked the 21c suite in order to get ready for my wedding and had rooms booked under the wedding block, it all was fantastic and went smoothly Our major issue was we had a friend get stuck in the elevator one night and the next night additional guests were stuck. Thankfully it was fixed that second day!

We expected better. It appears that this hotel underwent a cosmetic renovation, but this wonderful historic building required more. The location was ideal. Unfortunately the entry lacks grandeur. Our guest room on an upper floor was spacious, the decor and bed felt fresh, but there were several functional room issues. The room was always cold ,and the thermostat didn't respond to inputs. The provided bedding was better suited for summer weather. Additional bedding was requested, but it resembled a teri cloth duvet. The shower door leaked onto the bathroom floor. The towels were threadbare, best suited for exfoliation scrubs. And the various power outlets were worn and "loose," making phone charging a challenge.

I was not overall pleased. The room was cold and not enough blankets. Could not find an ice machine either on the floor. The staff was most pleasant though.

Fine overall. Room was not made up. Called and housekeeping had already left, person I spoke to offered $50 credit for miss, but it was not applied to my account when I checked out. Was going to have them apply to a stay next week, but we decided to change hotels instead to the Marriott.

The hotel’s location was extremely convenient, the room was very comfortable with wonderful views and the 24 hour access to the excellently curated art was outstanding. The staff is what really made this stay exceed expectations. Rob at the front desk, Devyn at the valet, Elijah and Travis at the bar were each amazing ambassadors for your hotel. Wonderful, knowledgeable, personable and authentic. 5 stars

The hotel has all the desirable boutique markers - renovated old building, hip museum with funky decor, eccentric artwork. Where the hotel fails is with basic service. We stayed for 3 nights and the room was only cleaned up once. We even asked for cleaning on the first day and it still didn't happen. I expected more.

Even though Durham was very quiet for New Year's the 21C Museum Hotel was the place to be when visiting the area. Really enjoyed the wonderful food served at the Counting House restaurant and bar including room service! Also service was excellent including Oscar the bellman who helped with our bags, valet our cars and delivered ice to our room. There was no problem getting extra towels, pillows and clothes hangers when requested. The room was very clean and daily house cleaning excellent. Only issue was last moment cancellation of spa services which was disappointing but with pandemic it was understandable. Overall my stay was excellent and what I expect at ACCOR hotels.

My wife and I recently stayed two nights in Durham at the 21C hotel there. It was in a great location and we had a great corner room overlooking Tobacco park. From the valet, to the front desk, we received excellent customer service.

Interesting place to stay. Art was interesting. Front desk staff were great. It was a Monday so everything was very quiet. Only wish that I e had been a bit more accessible. Hotel felt a little shut down with restaurant closed and check in at lobby.
