We are a family of 5 and three different generations. We stayed All-Inclusive from 3rd February to 10th February in a 3 bedroomed apartment. Our only complaint was, that when we arrived at the hotel at 3am we were given an apartment next to building works, which were extremely noisy from 7am. We complained and after hanging around all morning, we had to pack up and change apartments. Why was this? If there was another 3 bedroomed apartment empty then why weren't we given that and saved all the fuss and extra work for ourselves and your staff? You must have realised that guests could not remain in that noisy apartment and enjoy their holiday.

Its was a really great stay. We as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids enjoyed alot. Specially they upgraded us to 5 rooms villa with pool because of our Anniversary which was a great surprise. The villa was huge , clean and nice.

Good stay however not 5 star. For example no turn down service, very limited towels provided in suite, mini bar not fille daily, suite benefits not advised like 3 free pieces of laundry. Buffet food not consistently hot. Service very inconsistent across all restaurants although staff always very friendly. Charged for cancelling a restaurant which we had attended although issue was addressed.Charged also a cover charge for a 2 year old in Toro Loco - again issue was addressed.

While some of the hopes / expectations we had for a 5-star property were unfortunately not met at Rixos The Palm, the majority of the stay was positive and memorable. We began on the disappointing note that our arranged airport transfer to the hotel was not waiting for us at our arrival gate and after a long day of travel with an elderly parent and two small babies we were forced to pace the airport back and forth until finally opting for a self-funded taxi. The check-in experience was straightforward and we were quickly taken to our room. The suite was beautiful, but we would come to find that multiple bedding items were ripped and tattered, there were nights with deafening water sounds permeating all walls of all the bedrooms, and the master bath had no hot water (even when all remaining bedrooms did). The property was pristine. The service was wonderful. Food and drinks were good. We do have some ideas for room for improvement but will follow up in our TripAdvisor review in further detail. My vacation at your hotel was beyond my expectations! The Tourquoise Restaurant with all the staff and especially the Chefs were exceptional both for the service offered and for the excellent quality of the food! « A sensational stay in a wonderful hotel supported by marvellous staff in an excellent location. »

From the moment we arrived the Concierge staff, Porters, Reception staff, Management & Waiting staff - all of whom always greeted us warmly with cordiality - attended to our every need. Our room and indeed the hotel were clean, well equipped, well presented and very comfortable. The food at all meals in the two main restaurants we visited was always plentiful, varied, tasty, well-cooked and we were pleased with the variety for all tastes on offer. A particular thank you to our Concierge staff for assisting me in sorting a Boarding Pass issue out smoothly and efficiently with our flight operator - Emirates - thank you for resolving this matter, printing our boarding passes off, arranging our hotel to airport transfer professionally and ensuring we had as you promised - a big car (GMC YOUKON) for our party of 5 guests and cases/luggage. A big thank you to the Excursions team for arranging our Helicopter tour of the peninsula and it’s sights. Transfers were prompt and smooth & the experience amazing! The entertainment provided by Pianists Violinists and others at meal times and other occasions was lovely. The beachside entertainment was enjoyable on the few occasions we watched; it is always difficult to find a balance of noise levels however when another guest had apparently asked for the music volume to be lowered, many - myself included - felt it was then too restricted significantly affecting our enjoyment of the enjoyable Cuban band. A tough one I know. I presume there is entertainment most if not all evenings but did not see this widely advertised. On one occasion I spotted a poster in one lift but none was evident in the other so some guests may have been unaware of there being entertainment or, the nature of it. Pool side waiting and bar staff were excellent, always smiling, happy to tend your every need and some delightful touches bringing fruit around, as well as cold flannels and ice cream too! We loved our stay! Our 3 room family suite room which was impressive in size and well equipped. The minibar was not always restocked daily necessitating a call to room service though staff quickly appeared and remedied this. Dubai is a beautiful city. The hotel location is excellent for the views, a lovely clean beach, plenty of sun beds cabanas tables umbrellas etc. We would definitely visit this hotel again! Thank you to everyone for a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Great room but despite advising we were on holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary we did not get any special welcome or treatment. Prebooked cabana to find nothing was on records for us and despite reconfirming on one day we were told to wait until midday for a cabana when many were not in use.

Overall we had a great stay. The food and drinks were lovely and the service very good. The suite was a really good size and gave us plenty of space. One area that could be improved was cleaning the room earlier in the day. On most days I had to call for it to be cleaned, and some days we had returned from the beach and it still hadn’t been cleaned even though we had left the sign on the door. Secondly my wife found it difficult to blow dry her hair as there are no plug sockets to use by a mirror. But overall a very good stay.

« Let down by hotel organisation »

The hotel facilities brilliant on first glance, but then lots of little niggles. We had firstly booked the apartment when the kitchen was advertised. Upon arrival we found the kitchen locked off. No apology just it’s not included. We had asked for a apartment high up, so got moved. The first night on the 6th floor. The water pump for the apartment kept us awake all night wit( a whine and bang every 30 seconds. The next morning, I complained, and an engineer came round, clearly knowing the problem turned the pump off. That evening it was back on making the same noise so an engineer, said he would turn it off at 9pm and back on at 9am. This worked, but no apology from management about the lack of sleep the first night,. Restaurant booking system is shocking, a angry woman answering saying no room in any. When actually visiting the restaurants there are loads of empty tables which we saw first hand. 2 hour free water sports, impossible to use,in the time limit as only 3 paddle boards available and always being used. Overall the staff around pool, restaurants etc were brilliant. Hotel let down by customer service and restaurant booking sustenances, and the fact as ultra all inclusive you have to sign for every thing.

Had a great time during our week at the Rixos the two bedroom suite was lovely suited our needs perfectly , the food was of a high standard at which ever restuarant we ate from the buffet to the a la carte the only slight niggle was trying to bok the a la carte it seems they will only give the ultra all inclusive guests 6:30 or 9pm reservasions and when you visit them they always seem very quiet at 7:30 -8 when your leaving but they say these times aren't available that said thefood was delicious in all the a la carte restuarnts.The bars were all pretty good but we found the breeze pool bar very good we thought the service was quicker and the staff very freindly especially a nice young chap from sri lanka ( sorry can't remember his name) the only down side was this bar was it shut at 9pm .The pool towels system could be better it's great you just pick a towel up but there should be some system for exchanging them as because there was no deposit or towel cards people were just leaving towels on beds all day and at times you didn't which beds were being used .

« Amazing Stay »

The Rixos on the Palm in Dubai was just what we needed after a month of travel to break up the trip back and just relax. Driving out to the Rixos was amazing as we arrived at night there Christmas lights everywhere, and we could see the skyline of Dubai. Staff at the Rixos were very helpful, they went out of their way to assist us. They were happy and extremely professional. Our two bedroom suite was fabulous with two balconies, large rooms with walk in robes separate bathrooms and a third bathroom for visitors. The only downside to the room was the construction next door which meant that there was a lot of noise early in the morning.
