I stayed here for 2 nights for business reasons in Basel. Parking is free outside (enough space) while the area around the hotel is still mostly under construction. Lobby and bar quite small but enough to work with. Room was modern and comfy with a good bathroom including japanese toilet. I used the swimming pool area (relatively large pool, sauna, whirlpool and hamam). Lighting in the evening was very well done and there were jets in the pool that could be controlled yourself. Hamam had a smell to it so i didnt use it, the rest was very well done and is a major benefit in the Basel area. Breakfast was o.k. but everything was packed in plastic which i dont really like. Other than that i think its a good hotel to stay in if you travel by car and accept a 30 minute drive into Basel city.

Everything was brand new in the hotel and the amenities were impressive too. I also had booked a early morning cab which was taken care very nicely by the reception. Overall a nice stay.

We checked in to our room and saw it was 28 degrees Celsius. The receptionist responded quickly but could not turn down the heat. She brought us to another room at 9:30 PM and after some time that room became warmer than the original 22 degrees Celsius. We had to sleep with opened windows and bugs coming in so we weren’t too hot.

Nicely decorated hotel rooms, bar and wellness area. Breakfast buffet was good. Explicitely ask for room where no dog has previously stayed to avoid bad smell in the room… These rooms should only be rented to dog owners.

We checked in and we’re told that there was a shuttle to the airport. Unfortunately our flight was too early for the service. I informed the desk agent that I had a rental car to return and could the shuttle pick me up if I returned the car the day of check I. And was told no problem. I returned the car and was the. Informed the hotel’s airport shuttle only went from the hotel to the airport. Not from the airport to the hotel. I had to take a taxi. I tried to get the taxi fee removed from my bill and was told to talk to a manager. No manager was on duty and was told manager would be in touch - this never happened. I still want my 11 euros returned

Pros: Property looks new, is clean and modern. Located near the airport. Cons: 1) check in was not easy. online pre-check-in the day before did not work. check in at the hotel took way longer than it should have for a reservation (2 rooms) that had been made well in advance. 2) No posted schedule for the airport shuttle on the website; arrived at the hotel to find out that the shuttle only operates at certain hours that did not work for our flights, causing us to spend another 25E on a taxi, on top of the 65E it took to taxi from our Basel hotel. 3) Phones in both of our rooms did not work so we could not communicate with the front desk at all. Couldn't schedule a wake up call. No clock or alarm in the room. 4) Wifi connection disconnected overnight so our plan to communicate between rooms via Wifi for wake up calls did not work 4) No English-language channels working on the TVs. They are listed but not working.

Overall it was a good experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, checking in and out of the hotel was a breeze. There were slight issues with the room; the coffee machine leaked water and the safebox was closed when we arrived, meaning we couldn't use either of these objects.
