We had a fantastic stay at the Sofitel New York! The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better; it’s right in the heart of Midtown, making it easy to walk to Broadway shows, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and so much more. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet—perfect after a day of exploring the city. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great location but a bit dated

Aburel Business - TripAdvisor review

Honestly I have expected a bit more. It’s located very nicely on the 45th between 5th and 6th. Starbucks nearby, cvs and attractions. The staff is nice, rooms spacious but a bit dated. Good breakfast but at a pricey side, coffee available. Not advertised but some construction in the lobby gives a temporarily cramped feeling. Beds comfortable and amenities nice. Good vibe though.And nice views.

Where do I start, unable to accommodate the standard 3pm check in, we were left waiting for 45 minutes as the room needed to be inspected, that is fine, it can happen, although most places would offer you a drink or something. When we got the the room, well, the inspection must have been a bit haphazard... Toe nail clippings in the bath, the hand towel had make up all over it (where some one had wiped their face) the the kicker - there were spots of blood on the bed covers (externally facing - not inside) Issues were rectified on request, but not a word of apology or acknowledgement of our inconvenience (we left the room so housekeeping could attend to the issues) Definitely a rocky start to a supposed premium experience as part of my significant birthday celebrations. Bar staff were quite good, we utilised happy hour each day, but getting their attention could be challenging when they were watching sports PS: Accor gold member, no acknowledgement of status on check in, no upgrade (even if it isn't available, let me know), no amenity or anything like that. I will be Platinum after this is credited, but it is 7 days and now I need to chase them.

A Warm and Wonderful Dining Experience at Sofitel New York

My name is Barry Duff, and my wife and I are an older couple visiting from Australia. We are currently staying at Sofitel New York in room 1916 and wanted to share our lovely experience at the hotel’s restaurant. When we were seated toward the back of the restaurant, we found it a bit cold. We spoke with Raj, the restaurant manager, who was an absolute gentleman. He immediately took care of the situation—not only adjusting the temperature but also bringing us a heater to ensure we were warm and comfortable. Raj went above and beyond, personally checking in on us throughout the evening and ensuring we received exceptional service from start to finish. His professionalism and genuine care made our dinner truly memorable. Thank you, Raj, and the Sofitel team, for such thoughtful hospitality. It’s something we won’t forget!
