Your rehab projects for guest areas and rooms is great. But we have one suggestion. The lighting is new and extremely varied. Some on switches and other on lights that are hard to find. And, they apparently are sensitive to movement, and go off frequently. So, it would be nice for your attendant to explain that to us upon arrival in the room. Your service people are great. And, we love staying there!

The restaurant team were fabulous. The reception and concierge needs to improve their service quality. (Ambiguous answers and did not answer the questions clearly)

Have stayed in several other Sofitels in US and UK, this was by a large margin the least satisfactory. Deluxe King room was small, even by NY standards. Large bathroom with a weird double door that made entry and exit to both room and bathroom difficult. Bathroom lacked basic amenities such as hand lotion. Room not routinely stocked with wash clothes-had to special request most days. Minimal interaction with staff except to have my request for a 12:30 checkout declined despite a 6 night stay. Had dinner in restaurant upon arrival. Front manager too busy with buddies to pay us any attention or seat us. Waiter had to be chased down for any request. Food quality barely exceeded the level of fuel. Where was the lobster on my lobster roll? Website states recently redecorated. Style is now bland hotel generic. On top of all this a $50.00ish resort style fee was charged. No value at this hotel but location is good for theaters.

Sofitel was the perfect New York hotel. The room was large, the bedding/towels/bath essentials luxurious, and the bar/restaurant very upscale. The location was a few blocks off Times Square on a quiet street. It is located in a quiet area that allowed for a great nights sleep. All employees were so helpful and pleasant. I love Accor hotels and always book them. All of them have been wonderful. This one was superb!
