I had an awesome time at the Sofitel! The location is perfect, very close to Bryant Park and broadway district for those late-night shows. The room is lush and the beds are SO comfortable. My sister and I couldn't stop saying how well we slept because they were truly like sleeping on clouds. I also want to say a huge thank you to Daniel and the entire staff for making my sister's birthday so special. They went out of their way to really welcome us into their beautiful hotel and make it a trip to remember. We're looking forward to coming back and staying here again the next time we are in the city

Slightly disappointed. Try and stay here for work, so someone in my firm books the room. Wasn't aware of the renovations so disappointing no breakfast, no bar, no restaurant.

Sofitel did not failed my expectations, eventhough they have ongoing renovations. Good customer service, all my needs are well-attended, and cheerful and accomodating members of the staff.

Stayed in a newly renovated room for 4 nights, experienced endless problems including: no bellman upon arrival at 9:00 pm - waited 15 minutes outside with no acknowledgement, had to load 4 extra large suitcases and bags on a cart by myself and roll into the lobby with no assistance; no refrigerator in room upon arrival despite prior confirmed request; room temperature was 63 degrees with blasting air condition at 9:00 pm, attempted to turn on heat with no improvement and eventually was told that there is "no heat available in the summer when AC is in use," was given a space heater and 2 blankets that appeared to be 40+ years old, absolutely beyond uncomfortable trying to sleep; no phone operable in room so required going to front desk late at night to report issues, engineer arrived and confirmed cordless phone was not working and bedside phone/charging port had been a cord unattached (front desk agent had said that cord was for another device???). Next day using the hair dryer provided in main room the fuse blew, reported to front desk - was not corrected and following morning using hair dryer again PROVIDED IN THE ROOM the fuses in the bathroom blew out and NO electricity at all in the bathroom while I was attempting to get ready for an appointment. Late that evening while my daughter was sleeping the top back panel of the armoire completely detached and crashed down, sounding like a bomb went off and waking my daughter who had to be up very early for school in the morning. Confirmed 1:00 pm late check out but when returning to room at 12:15 to finalize departure, room key did not work and required returning to front desk to reset. Furthermore, despite being an ALL Gold member I did not receive a "welcome amenity" and was informed that was only for Platinum/Diamond members which is not accurate according to the ALL benefits information. Also unable to use two "welcome drink" complimentary vouchers because no beverage options available other than room service which included excessive mandatory fees. Furthermore, despite reporting all the extensive issues to the same front desk agent he never relayed any of my problems or concerns to a manager and I had to seek out someone on my own. This level of customer service is absolutely not indicative of a luxury property and is certainly not anything that I have ever experienced in staying at multiple ALL properties.
