We have stayed at your hotel before and everything was tremendous until we noticed that our vehicle was damaged during the valet process. I called the hotel and spoke with Ben (MOD) and he referred me to the valet company. I explained to Ben that a referral to a third party didn't feel right because I stayed at and valeted my car at the Sofitel, not somewhere else. He assured me they could assist. I called the valet company, and they said the manager (Victor?) would call either me or the hotel to discuss in more detail. It's almost a week later and I have heard nothing. I called the valet company on numerous occasions and nobody answered.

Ben did the correct thing by referring you to the valet company, as they are responsible for the valet operations and vehicle handling, and they are partnered with our hotel. However, we completely understand your concern, especially since your experience was connected to your stay with us. We sincerely apologize that the valet company has not followed through with contacting you as promised. We will reach out to them once again and ask that they contact you directly as soon as possible to address this matter. We truly appreciate your previous stays with us and are very sorry that this experience has affected an otherwise tremendous impression of the hotel. This is the second time staying at the Sofitel in NYC and my iniyial opinion remained unchanged - it's a great place to stay for my needs.

Hi, the hotel is really great, and I really appreciated that I got moved to a 23 room on 44th street side, which is quieter. However, I have a few improvement ideas. I was missing a coffee machine, simple kettle and a luggage rack in the room, which most other hotels have. Also, the plastic bottle given for water is really silly, as I believe even the tap water in New York is drinkable. With simple changes, I think it would be possible to get very close to 5 star standard. Also, the booking options on Accor website seem to be normally missing the option to go to 44th street side (they all go to 45th side or are at least unreasonably expensive), while some platforms like booking.com have general rooms that can be on either side which can thus be superior to Accor offering.

Newly renovated hotel, everything is in good shape. Hotel staff was always very friendly. Breakfast is great start for your stay, can choose from a list and everything was fresh. Our room at the 25th floor had a pretty nice view towards Chrysler building. Rooms and other areas were always clean, a big thank you to the staff for that part as well. Beds were nicely soft, and style of the room was to our liking. The official rating is 4 stars, but I would say Sofitel New York is from the top part of that rating. I visited the gym couple of times, and while small it had enough to complete my daily training. Location is super: just a couple of blocks from theatres that we visited or Times Square, Bryant Park and Grand Central. I went for a run in Central Park which is located about 15min walk from the hotel. As we are often relying on public transportation, hotel is very easily accessible from JFK with AirTrain + LIRR.
