Lovely Location, Poor FO Staffing

I phoned and emailed in advance to arrange check-in and had positive communication and attentiveness leading up to our stay. However, the on-site experience was disappointing to say the least. My partner, who was checking in on our behalf, was treated poorly and left embarrassed and ashamed. Despite my prior instruction to charge everything to the linked card on my Accor account, she was asked for a “baby” Amex card and felt as though she was treated dismissively, as if she couldn't speak English or shouldn’t be checking in. The front office staff so poorly trained, arrogant, inattentive to guests, and more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than providing proper service and a welcoming first impression. It’s particularly embarrassing let alone disappointing, as my partner also works in the hotel industry. We understand that culture, service and brand standards should be adhered to at all times. I arrived later in the evening only to discover that all charges had been made to her card + $100 authorisation without these fees being explained nor provided a receipt, no registration forms provided to be filled out, and yet keys were issued for the villa. Everything discussed in advance completely disregarded, including the arrangement Alicia made for a bottle of wine to be provided on arrival. This entire experience left my partner not only embarrassed but humiliated in front of our guest as she was questioned by your FO staff and dismissed. Our guest staying with us is the Regional General Manager of one of our suppliers. It’s unfortunate, as we previously thought of the Pullman Magenta as a lovely place. I would like to recognize Bronte, who made an effort to address our concerns and manage the situation later in the evening and provided the gesture of one piece of chocolate, though it doesn’t quite address the trouble, humiliation and embarrassment we experienced.

Studio king room was falsely advertised. Pictures on booking.com show new white rooms, floorboards, and bright room. We had a room with marks on the walls, dark, carpeted (poor old carpet), yellowed aircon unit with dust on the blades, mouldy bathroom and overall the room smelt bad and so did the bathroom. Cleaners for other rooms in the villa left their equipment and changed linen bags in walkways and at bottom of stairs which was unprofessional.
