Best Value for Money, Friendly Staff & Great Services

I saw lots of negatives reviews for this hotel. However, I was blowen away with the excellent services provided by the hotel staff and hotel itself was in excellent. We enjoyed out whole stay. Firstly, we were greeted by two charming faces on the reception [Hannah and Raven]. Most charming faces. Great help in getting us sorted. We changed the rooms from what we have booked for. They fixed the rooms without any issue. The Manager Atul is also a great gentleman. He personally welcomed us and checked on us daily for our stay and services. Breakfast was great, we could order from hot menu. I would also like to than the morning reception Sakshi, she was also very wonderful. Very great jovial individuals .. feels like staying home. stay blessed :) Would recommend 10/10 for everything.

Not Up to Mecure Standards

Upon arrival, the external building and grounds of this former orphanage and historic building are impressive. However, internally it’s a different story - as everything is just a bit old, tired and it even smelled musty. My room was OK, although the mix of decor was eclectic, and not in a good way! My friend asked to have another room so she could have a balcony to smoke. She was given a smaller room (and effectively downgraded), but the manager would not refund the difference. We ate in the restaurant, but the meal was average at best. The roast of the day was actually pre-prepared pan fried pieces of pork. My friend’s chicken schnitzel was a dark crumbed lump of dried chook with an inedible limp and undressed salad. She ate the chicken and chips only because she was hungry. Kudos to our wait staff Tabitha who tried hard to make the experience more pleasant. Overall, it was not of a standard we are used to at Mercure hotels .

A charming hotel with character, offering a serene escape. Waking up to the sight of lush green fields and the soothing sound of birds chirping was a highlight. I stayed in Room 136, which was exceptionally spacious and well-equipped. It featured a comfortable king bed along with a pullout sofa bed, perfect for families or additional guests. The modern amenities and thoughtful touches made the stay even more comfortable. As a Platinum member, I enjoyed the convenience of welcome drinks via the app and a delicious breakfast included in the package. The service was warm and attentive throughout my stay, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend this hotel for its tranquil ambiance, excellent amenities, and attentive service!

Terrible More like a Hostel or Backpackers with all the Tradies

This Hotel at present is more like a backpackers or hostel with all the tradie workers staying here. Far from what you would expect or think of a Accor branded hotel. There are common balconies that become a smoke feast and booze area at night and are suppose to have a curfew of 9PM however they are not enforced even though there are cameras and supposedly door sensor warning of the lock out indicating security will attend, people are abusing and disregarding this with no consequence. There is no Security! I stayed here for a whole week and each night it was abused! No respect was shown! My room was located right next to this balcony with no respect shown, every night I had to put up with drunken loud noisy people on this balcony. The corridor smelt of smoke as they would leave the door open. I complained to staff but really to no assistance or help. seem like they were to scared of upsetting them. I had to take matters into my own hands and approach them and ask for a little respect to keep the noise down seeing my room was right next door and all i hear was load talking and the smell of smoke. They appeared to just ignore me and continue coming back through out the night to continue on. This is so disappointing knowing what i thought would be a nice hotel and reproable brand. It appears the tradies have taken over the hotel, and there is a lot of them. Way too noisy. Good Luck. Not good enough Mercure. Enforce what you say!

The hotel is built in some old buildings including an orphanage. Sure it has a horror film vibe but that's quite cool. The rooms and public areas integrally are dated in stuck in thr 1980s from presumably when it was concrete to a hotel. Broken mirrors in the room. Breakfast was very poor. The fruit looked dodgy and the pineapple juice was off.
