I am delighted to say that our recent stay in the Fairmont Singapore lived up to its prestigious 5-star billing. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional level of service and attention we received in the Gold Lounge, where the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and valued during each visit. Sam, June, and Zhiqi were particularly exceptional in their warmth and overall manner, not overlooking James and Shakira, who both consistently engaged us in delightful conversations, always showing a willingness to assist and provide key sightseeing advice. It was heartwarming to see such a team dedicated to providing outstanding service, particularly James, who conversed in Mandarin with a Chinese visitor who joined us during our stay, and this was extra special. I must also commend some other fantastic hotel employees who contributed significantly to our memorable stay. Shannon, a young trainee concierge, was most engaging and impressed us with her total professionalism and eagerness to help. I would also like to acknowledge Robert, who greeted us warmly each time we stepped out of the hotel, who made us feel like valued guests every single day. The Fairmont Singapore and its exceptional staff, particularly those in the Gold Lounge, made our holiday an unforgettable occasion. It promises an experience marked by unparalleled service and outstanding hospitality.

We spent 5 nights in a deluxe room with Marina Bay view. When we arrived, we were offered the possibility of an upgrade, but we declined, because it would have been without the view of the Marina. They had provided a second duvet as requested and the room already had a yoga mat, which pleasantly surprised me. Nevertheless, I had a hard time imagining the 45 m2 announced, because the passage areas around the bed were limited and I just managed to put my 1m85 yoga mat in front of the window. The impression of clutter was probably reinforced by the fact that we had stayed in particularly large rooms/suites until then. On the other hand, all the elements of the room are well arranged. I think it's probably the most efficient room I've slept in. The view of the Marina allowed us to enjoy the fireworks set off on Saturday nights, in preparation for the celebration of the 60th National Day. We tested the room service one evening, it was ok, but a bit expensive for what we had ordered. As for breakfast, we had it 3 out of 5 mornings, because the dishes were good, but a bit repetitive, and there was no plant-based milk. We tried to have it in our room, but we were told that if it was an order for after 6 am, we would be charged additionally for that. Furthermore, when we arrived at the Prego restaurant for breakfast, there was always a queue, sometimes long. I find this unpleasant for a 5-star hotel. Especially since it was obviously due to an organizational problem on the staff's tasks and not to the number of customers, because there were actually enough free tables. We didn't test the swimming pool, nor the SPA, due to lack of time, but mainly because it was obvious that it would be crowded. The hotel is perfectly located (for me, this is its biggest advantage): in the center of everything, directly connected to the Raffles city mall (large choice of restaurants and shops) and from there to two metro lines and especially to the Citylink. The latter is a network of underground passages that allows you to reach on foot, protected from the sun and the heat, different malls (Funan, Suntec,...) and shorten some other routes in the heat and humidity. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the person who was in charge of the good maintenance of our room during our stay. You could feel her application and her attention to providing her best service. Next time I come to SG, I will choose the Swisshotel (after having tested both). The rooms are nicer at Fairmont, but for the same amount of money I will get a larger room at Swisshotel. And definitively breakfast is not our thing : it's a waste of time and money for "light morning eaters" like us.

We had a fantastic stay at Fairmont Singapore, and one of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by James from Fairmont Gold. He guided us to the perfect itinerary to catch the National Day fireworks, and his warm, genuine service really stood out. As a fellow Singaporean, I felt proud to see such heartfelt hospitality.
