Excellent London Base

We spent two nights at the Novotel Canary Wharf as part of a Secrets Escape deal. We had a Superior Double with City Views (2706) which did indeed have incredible views over London from the 27th Floor and included breakfast. The room had floor to ceiling windows and was very modern and clean. Desk, flat screen TV, sofa, safe, iron and board, shower, fridge, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities. Nice pool although probably needs some signage about not putting the jets on full blast when people are trying to swim. We did not eat at the restaurant or drink at the bar which are on the 37th floor but that is also where breakfast is served and again the views are superb. Good selection of hot and cold and overall very good. Staff at breakfast were all brilliant and special mention to Tiara, Antonella and Rosario who took very good care of us. There is no parking at the hotel but there is a large car park withing walking distance. Easy access to Canary Wharf tube and Jubilee line and DLR. Also walking distance to the Uber Clipper if you prefer to travel by boat. There is a Tesco Express 5 minutes walk away for supplies. Very good value and a very good base to explore London.

Perfect location for our visit and easy to find from underground station. Check-in was smooth. Hadn’t booked breakfast and enquired about adding it on. Was told that it would be £25 each… £50 seemed a little excessive for an adult and a 14 yr old for breakfast!! Room was spacious and had an incredible view of the London skyline from the floor to ceiling window. It was clean, but a little tired and there were stains on the carpet. The roof top terrace is fabulous, again with brilliant views!

Brilliant service from Teejay at Reception- great intro to facilities and fast check in. Much appreciated on arrival after a long trip. Equally superb service at breakfast from our host - again what a wonderful way to start the day! Rest was ok but point out we had a very quiet nice room with nice views.

Lovely food; amazing view. Staff very friendly and helpful— Antonella, Aline & Victor were amongst the many staff members who made our dining experience enjoyable. Bar is dreamy, especially at night. The menu has a range of fine dishes—the truffle risotto was divine.

Really impressed with the service at breakfast, in particular Auiouelle Roshah our waiter, she was super fast and gave us a great table and was extremely helpful and friendly! The food was great, lots of different variety to select from with an amazing view.
