This was my first time at Novotel Canary Wharf and it was great. The service, the food , the gym/pool facilities and the room were spot on. Special thank you to Aline who served us at the Breakfast . She was really helpful and very welcoming.

I stayed at the Novotel Canary Wharf from Friday 23rd January to Sunday 25th January as a birthday weekend for my boyfriend. Overall, the hotel itself is modern, clean, and in a great location. The room was very clean on arrival, and the restaurant area where we had breakfast offers beautiful views, which really adds to the experience. However, I did leave feeling slightly disappointed, mainly because this stay was for a special occasion that I had mentioned both before arrival and again at check-in. I was told the team would “take good care of us,” which gave me the impression that something small might be done to acknowledge the birthday. Unfortunately, nothing at all was done during our stay. I completely understand that hotels are not obligated to provide anything, but even a small gesture, such as a drink at the bar or a simple note, would have made a big difference. On a previous birthday stay, I had received a complimentary drink, so I suppose I had expected a similar level of thoughtfulness. I had also requested in advance, if possible, a room with a nicer view on a higher floor. While I understand requests can’t always be guaranteed, our room unfortunately overlooked a construction site, which was a bit disappointing given the hotel is known for its views. One other point was our breakfast experience. The food and setting were lovely, but we were slightly taken aback by the interaction with a staff member when being seated. We politely asked if a window table was available and were told no, yet shortly after being seated, other guests were offered window seats. It may have been a misunderstanding, but it did make us feel a bit uncomfortable. None of these issues were major on their own, and the hotel itself is very nice, but together they made the stay feel less special than we had hoped for a birthday celebration. I do believe the hotel has the potential to provide a more thoughtful guest experience, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

We had a lovely stay with a fantastic room on the 28th floor. I was a little disappointed after putting in the booking notes that it was our anniversary and there was nothing complimentary in the room ( I know it’s not compulsory but usually when we go away for birthdays or anniversaries hotels accommodate this) the next morning at breakfast I mentioned our anniversary to Aline Rosario she fixed us 2 glasses of bubbly and a special plate. She also made me coffee with coconut milk as the machine only had cows milk. Aline made our entire quick visit 100% better so thank you to her! Side note the buffet breakfast was 10/10!!
