Accor members not recognized upon arrival/check-in. Reception staff do not welcome or greet hotel guests upon entering or exiting, very impersonal/indifferent. Staff in Restaurant Bokan are more preoccupied with themselves than attending to their guests. This is not the experience you would expect for a 4 star hotel and given the prices. Pool was closed the whole week for some unknown reason, staff at reception could not tell when it would re-open, and guests arriving were not informed in advance. In my opinion, this establishment does meet the standards of the Accor brand and there are plenty of other hotels in Canary Wharf to choose from that offer a more friendly service.

When I checked in, I saw that there had been a water system failure. During the two nights and two days I stayed at the hotel, the water pressure was extremely weak. I was practically unable to take a shower, and this was absolutely not in line with the standard expected from a Novotel.

A favourite hotel of ours which we always stay in, however not having any water for one of the nights when it had been boiling hot all day was far from ideal, not being able to do basic things such as shower or brush our teeth because of a water issue was not on, with no apologies.
